Navy pilots are a different breed than AF pilots.When I was stationed in Iceland at public works the Chief always assigned me to drive visiting officers around.I didn’t like it but I wasn’t asked,I was told.

Air Force pilots were like executives,their hair just so,nails looked manicured,acted like they had a burr up their arse.

One morning I was told to go pick up some pilots at the BOQ and give them a tour,It was 3 Navy pilots,.They were wearing jeans,cowboy boots,t-shirts with a flight jacket and each a had a 6 pack.All had buzz cuts.They wanted to go to Reykjavik and ride around.

One of them was missing his 4 top front teeth,I was fascinated and kept looking at him in the rear view mirror.
He asked me”What the hell you looking at boy”.I say “ I was wondering what happened to your front teeth,sir”
He started laughing like I had said something funny,tells me “I ate the stick on a rough landing”
(I suspect someone knocked them out with a pool stick in a bar fight.)
Then I asked him wouldn’t the Navy dentist fix him a bridge.He says”I’ve got one but I only wear it for inspections.”

I rode them around awhile,still late winter,they were drinking their beer and asking me questions,mostly about Icelandic women.Wasn’t much to see with only a few hours daylight.
When their beer was gone,they wanted to go back to the base.

That night Base Security caught them jumping out of the 2’nd story window of the BOQ in their underwear into a snow drift up against the building.Couple of nurses in their bra’s and panties were jumping out the window with them.
ReportedlyThe base C.O.was pissed,I think mostly with the nurses.

I couldn’t figure out why B.S reported them,I wouldn’t have.
