I did student call center. Call alumni and ask for donations.

Sit in front of a computer, can do all the homework/studying you need, while getting paid.

people could just park like they're supposed to.

Ever since I got a parking ticket during the summer (summer school wasn't in session yet) parking in the dorm lot to run the lakes, I wish a slow and painful death on any and all parking ticket people.

I was the only fricking car. In the whole parking lot. "Out of area parking" ticket.

There's a special place in hell for those people.

My buddies used to drive the bus around the parking lots during baseball season. He’d put his ball cap next to him and have a large wad of tips every game. He could usually park anywhere on campus, get out of any ticket and knew a lot of the campus police

Coates Hall gloryhole operation checker.

Every couple of hours just make sure they’re all still operating and running smooth... like a well lubricated machine.

Student worker at the fieldhouse. It was awesome. Basically had to babysit the place. LSU workers would leave around 2 or 3. If your shift was after that your only duty was to raise the basketball goals and lock up. You could play basketball, run on the track, use the weight room. Back then the gymnastics facility was in the same building so you got to talk to all of the gymnasts and when they left we had a key to the gym and could jump in all the pits and shite. Also had a golf cart to drive around it you wanted to go get something to eat on campus or bring someone to class.

In the summer you had to do a little more work. Blowing off the track and the tennis court - but when it wasn't being used our boss let us cool off in the pool in the natatorium. Go off the high dive - all while on the clock. One of the best jobs I've ever had.

I can tell you’ve never done that job cause that’s not close to how it works.

Computer lab. Surf the net 98% of the time; clear printer jams the other 2%. Easiest job I ever had.

I used to grade papers for the teachers that taught remedial English. This was back in the day when LSU admitted anyone who could scrape together a high school diploma. Some of those students were writing on a first grade level. I wondered how they made it to college until I saw their names on the football roster.

Bus driver at USL. Back in the day I had, even as a freshman, priority registration for classes (which was done over the phone). Nice gig.

I worked at the library as an undergrad. Worked in the mail room mostly. It was pretty simple after you got the routine down. The only thing that sucked was during finals week. The library was open 24hrs and you had to work a few late night/early morning shifts.

Although, I don't quite remember how I got the job. I think it was part of my TOPS scholarship or I applied for extra assistance on my FAFSA form.

Be a manager or student trainer for a sports team. Get all the nice free clothes and shoes you want and you get to go to sporting events for free with a great view of the games.

My nephew is the head manager for a SEC school's baseball team. Gets us tickets every time they come to town. He is going to be a manager on the football team next year, so hopefully that comes with some perks as well. He has every bit of gear offered to the team, travels to colleges all over and gets paid a small amount to wash uniforms. Its a pretty good gig.
