As an Astros fan, I don't think I could throw back a WS home run ball regardless of who hit it. It's the World Series.

ETA - not that particular ball. It's a record attached to a single game. A record setting ball attached to a specific player is likely to generate much more money than the ball in question.

No its not attached to a single game. It either tied or broke the all-time HR record for a world series.

I couldn't either. But if someone wants to do so well ok. I think its dumb but to each their own.

But to straight up snatch a ball that you didn't catch and throw it back...don't get me wrong it was funny as hell in the moment but that's a huge douchechill move. Sounds like she's not upset about it so i guess it turned out to be no harm no foul which is good.

Throwing it back is the right thing to do. The farther you throw it back the more it helps your team. He knew a women couldn't throw it as far so he took the bull by the horns and won the game for the Astros.

It's still not a big-money baseball... especially when people are calling out these new balls in a year where there were more HRs than any other year. I mean when the entire league is blowing through previous HR records this ball really isn't anything special.

caught an opponent's HR ball and he handed it to his kid(about 6 yrs old).
They didn't know the 'protocol' and the entire LF and 3rd Base line booed the shite out of them until someone told dad, 'hey you gotta throw that back in now.'

I don't care if it's an opposing teams HR, I'm not throwing back a ball that my kid wanted. Whole stadium can boo me.

5k is very small money when it comes to these baseball auctions. I'm no expert though so i have no idea what it would sell for. But we can just disagree on whether not it has any monetary value. I think it does.

Well of course he was but it's a baseball who cares, your team is trying to win a World Series.

Opposing team HR balls get thrown back all the time. These all of the sudden Stros fanboys are annoying.
