TLDR
Just last season at Alex Box a non-regular fan in LF caught an opponent's HR ball and he handed it to his kid(about 6 yrs old).
They didn't know the 'protocol' and the entire LF and 3rd Base line booed the shite out of them until someone told dad, 'hey you gotta throw that back in now.'
He did and all was well with the fans but Kid didn't understand.
Then one of the marshalls found the kid and gave him a foul ball. All was well.

Seen that happen more than once at Alex Box. The kid usually ends up with a replacement ball.

I 100% would keep it. Unless you are trying to all of the sudden be a Cubs fan. Sell that shite if an opposing team hit it.

He should calm down and apologize, and use a less conspicuous inflection in his voice.

No matter the team you're going to be a bit stoked about catching a world series ball. Her celebration didn't seem over the top like she thought the astros hit it or something.

Just general excitement over catching the ball.

My first thought was sell it back to the player or a rich Dodgers fan.

What's the ballpark(pun) figure on a WS HR ball like that?

I don’t care who hit it that’s a WS home run ball. Me and that dude would have had problems.
