I recently played chicken with them. Threatened to cancel unless i got $60/1 year. They wouldn’t budge from $60/6 mos. i said to cancel and they called my bluff. So I cancelled. Signed up for a new account with a different email address and got the $60/1 year price.

honestly am unsure how they are still turning a profit, no way they last long

Lol. I’ve been hearing that sentiment for about 10’years. Yet they’re still around.

I’ve been able to get 5.99/mo for 12mo consistently for about 5 years now. Takes a 5 min phone call

I have 3 cars that have had SXM at some point in the past. All 3 have been offered $5/month for 12 months.

I have it on one of the 3 and tell them to give me that deal to renew. Happens each time.

Mine started working a couple months back and hasn’t been cut off. So I pay zero dollars a month for mine.

My last subscription expired in December 2020. I had the 3 year $99 plan for 1 vehicle.

Is your car a 2008-2012? I had a 5 year, $150 plan that I tried to transfer to the new car, but they told me it was a promotional offer for certain year models. Then they credited me the half subscription I had left, which more than paid for the new subscription. Terrestrial radio in Shreveport is awful, and I don’t have Spotify, and for $6/month, I like the variety

I feel bad for anybody who is paying full price for an XM subscription.

I got the lifetime subscription so I don’t have to worry about threatening to cancel over $10 like a poor

I'm at $75/yr for one vehicle and the internet radio. Just give them comparative price points and they'll bend. Spotify, Pandora, Amazon music etc.

I find it’s gotten very easy to renew on the cheap using the chat feature on the website.

With All the music streaming available I don’t get why anyone would get sirius/XM unless you are getting it for specific talk shows that can’t be streamed anywhere else.

Believe it or not there are places in this country where there are no terrestrial radio stations and no cell signals. You're not Streaming anything there.

With Apple Music, you can download music for offline use, I do this at my hunting camp that has no cell service.

What are you listening to? I’m getting tired of people like Tom Morello running their mouths instead of playing music. The quality of their content has gone way down.
