Sorry for your loss.

We took in a retired hunting dog a couple years ago and he's getting pretty old now. Not sure of his actual age, but he's deaf now and can't jump in or out of the bed anymore.

I've never had to have a dog put down but I'm sure it won't be too long for him. We took him to the woods a month ago and he got hot and had a seizure. I was kind of hoping he would have passed away out there and we could bury him out there doing what he loved to do.

That ain't Kool Aid, that's COVID 20

Is it worth the drive?

YES
I know they raised another $200k at the athletic fundraiser last Saturday night.

It’s gonna be an awesome facility.
You have to go on the app and click on the deal. Then when you check out, you enter your phone number and the discount is added to your receipt. It's very simple.
I'm pretty sure I've seen that stand on 190 going into Port Barre at a business but last time I passed it was gone. Guess I know where it went.

They then tailor the deals to you to try to get you to come in more often and spend more

It works well for our family. Albertson's is only a couple blocks from the house so I'm always going there anyway. I don't mind getting the occasional freebies.

I wish Danny cared enough to still recruit. Gonna be tough to see my Cougars lose to that low-rent douchebag pastor.

STM will probably have a much better all-around team for at least the next 2 years than they have now.

Right. It will easier to recruit players to play in 4a for exposure

I heard they're doing it for the money. I guess there's more attendance at 4A games.
I believe their response will be

"all skinfolk ain't kinfolk"

And the word that my guy said was "Notre Dame Paraphernalia". Again, it isn't the end of the world but we do need to lock him up cuz he isn't as solid as he once was.

Agreed, we need to keep him.

I'm sure ND gave him plenty of stuff when he visited. I saw the pic with the ND toboggan on in South Bend. He said when he went to LSU they have tables of LSU gear laid out and the recruits can just take whatever they want. Hats, gloves, shirts, hoodies, etc.
Bull crap. They can’t wear much of anything except school uniforms. My kid has several classes with him and said he hasn’t seen any Notre Dame gear.

Way too complicated for a flashlight

I have this one and it's really bright and compact Streamlight

I'll see ya there.

Don't wanna put too much personal info out there, but my kid's a starter on offense.

Possibly. The 2 sophomores have come a long way since Walker's injury. And establishing the run game has really led to an increased passing game. Now imagine when they throw Walker back into the mix. STM may make another run at the championship.

That's the elusive Rhodesian Ridgeback Cottonmouth

The bar scene at LSU is really really lacking compared to a lot of other SEC cities/towns

It used to not be that way.

Of course they are going to change their mind all the time. Don't commit to anything until you HAVE to make that decision, or if you truly know, keep it to yourself.

Yeah, it's not that easy. I think they commit to take the pressure off. It's a circus for these big time players in HS...all kind of scouts at every practice contacting coaches and parents and making promises to the kids.
The Gambler thread got me thinking about this. I always assumed she had left him but recently began wondering if she died and that's why he's so sad.

I wake up in the morning is a state of fright
On the wrong side of the bed all night
Clinging to the broken heart Inside my head
Open my eyes and I move my hand
From 'round her pillow to the nightstand
And straighten Miss Emily's picture by my bed

Go to the office; the work's piled up
Pour three fingers bourbon in my coffee cup
Cry on my best friend's shoulder down the hall
Feel so lonely, when I close the door
Bite my nails and I walk the floor
And straighten Miss Emily's picture on my wall

Look out my window and what do I see
Nothing but pain looking back at me
All that my future means to me
Is tossing yesterday's love out into the wind
And straighten Miss Emily's picture now and then

I leave my office and I go downtown
To a little bar we all hang around
Laugh drink beer -shoot pool and have a ball
When the laughter stops and the hurt takes hold
Reach in my pocket for my billfold
And show Miss Emily's picture to em' all
I stagger in the house and I slam the door
Scatter my clothes all over the floor
Wishing I could do the same thing in my head
Drink a beer and I eat a bite
And just before I turn out the light
I straighten Miss Emily's picture by my bed

Look out my window and what do I see
Nothing but pain looking back at me
All that my future means to me
Is tossing yesterday's love out into the wind
And straighten Miss Emily's picture now and then

Pretty solid strategy.

This right here is what keeps me coming back to the OT.

Don’t know about the age, but that sumbitch needed to see the dentist.
When my son played 5th and 6th grade football we were playing a team that was much better than ours. They were beating us pretty good, like by 3 touchdowns. With a minute to go in the game, they ran a fricking hook and lateral and scored a touchdown. I’ve never seen parents so close to fighting after a game.

The bad part was my neighbor was the opposing teams coach and his son scored the TD. I don’t think I ever said 3 words to him again and have since moved.
