If you’re telling me the probability of them both being born on 10/4 is 1/365, I’m gonna have to tell you you’re wrong

a far simpler way to look at it is that every time you (or anyone else) shuffles a deck of cards, is the first time that particular order of cards has ever existed

No one is asking the important questions. Where is the water going?

Here is something else very odd:

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + ... to infinity = -(1/12)

That's right, the sum of all positive integers is a small negative fraction.

That's a hot button topic in the mathematics world. Ultimately, the answer to that summation is positive infinity, but if you MUST attach a sensible number to it, -1/12 is the one to use.

Yeah, but that doesn't quite put 52! into the proper context.

let's discuss how long 52! seconds would last.

Yeah, but that was not the question.

No it isn't. That's one of the worst mathematical "proofs" I've ever seen. I'm almost positive they made that video as a troll and damn did they ever nail it.

Where do you put these drops of water?

Every time you shuffle there’s a good chance that it’s the first time in history a deck of cards has ever been ordered in that way.

Maybe not every time; when you first shuffle a brand new deck of cards without changing the preloaded order there's a pretty good chance that order has been achieved before. It would take a few shuffles to completely randomize the order for future shuffles to be unique.

I bet a whiskey fueled knock down dragout on the topic at a math convention would be a hoot to witness
