I'll have to try that. Cigarettes usually work for me.
Village Cheese Shanty in Leland if you are there around lunch time. Tons of wineries up and down Leelanau and Old Mission peninsulas. I've heard good things about Trattoria Stella in the old insane asylum in Traverse.

Does anyone have recommendations on grow lights? The durolux that I got a few years ago is discontinued.

I'm in the same exact boat. Funny thing is I was looking for the durolux lights 30 mins before your post. I was looking at these as an option.

My question is, is it safe to run an outdoor extension cord in the gutter and down the downspout and connect it to the receptacle close by?

No way Jose.

Safest would be to install and outlet in the soffit.

listen for the compressor

This. Capacitor on my unit went out and I had it replaced. Next day my unit would come on but the compressor would only come on sometimes. HVAC guy came out and put a hard start kit on my compressor and it's been running fine since.
Javiar's in La Jolla was good. George's at the cove had great views and food.
Grasshopper and House of the Rising Buns have dips.
W1D1 of Filling out the Hoodie

Finished Grasshopper last month. I loved the skullcrushers in Grasshopper and glad they are in FOTH as well but those band pull apart suck.
Looks like Mr. Boyles was triggered by a post tunechi did in Mr. Boyles topic on the OT.

What’s your timeline here and what do you do to prepare?

I'll probably consolidate 2 out of 3 of the rows I had for tomatoes for pumpkins and winter squash. Like Pillage said, plant seeds mid June for Halloween harvest. The other row I'll have ready for fall tomatoes. Probably more big tomatoes than cherry tomatoes. Haven't decided on variety yet. I try to start everything from seed. I picked up a purple bell pepper plant this year and it produce some awesome banana peppers.

My cucamelons are going crazy now. My toddler picks them off the plant and eats them.
Impressed by your Romas again.

I have 4 watermelons growing that I've found so far.

Honeynut butternut squash. Supposedly they only get 4-5 inches.

Lima and green beans are flowering like crazy. Dragon tongue beans are getting full as well.

Haul from this afternoon.

About ready to rip my tomato plants out and prepare for pumpkins and winter squash. Made a sweet relish this weekend and chopped everything by hand. Not sure if I'll like the texture.

What bluemoons said. Get a blacklight and they glow at night for easy pickings.
I used a food processor and pulsed them. Chopping 8 lbs of cucumbers by hand didn't sound exciting to me.
Your Romas look great.

I had some Boston Pickling cucumbers get too big, so I made dill relish. Ended up with 14 jars.

Picked a few Sunrise Bumble Bee, Purple Bumble Bee, Black Strawberry, Super Sweet 100 and Barry's Crazy tomatoes this morning. And some cucamelons.

Do you find that the black strawberry tomatoes soften faster than the sunrise bumble bee?
Use the dawn dish soap, water and spray bottle method. It works.

Yep. I'm about to spray my garden with a foam cannon of dawn.
