How did they think it was okay to write that original story. They don’t have anyone there who’s not a total dumbass and thought things were odd about the story?

Not as bad as the CNN headline of

quote:

More than half of New Orleans' emergency medical workers are under quarantine, mayor says

Makes it sound like more than EMS drivers are accounted for.

(Not undermining EMS workers)

Journalism is at an all time low. Even here in Houston, the front page of the Chronicle often has headline stories of new bars opening up in San Antonio or some tourist dying in another country.

They really can’t publish an article that pertains to Houston?

The first advocate reporter ran with the story because, you know, sensationalism over facts.

Well, that and the fact that the entire newspaper is practically filled with shitty reporters.

Even worse, they laid off Pam of Pam's Party Line. She reports on social & charity events all over the area.
In boring & depressing times like these, Pam should be reporting and printing reader credited photos of their quarantined social non-gatherings! Like a recent Socially Distanced Trivia Party hosted by a local attorney(liberal, imagine that) through Inet connection that had over 600 views. It was BYOB & BYOTP.
With all the bad news, we need some fun and games in our lives now until we get back to some normalcy.

WE need Pam! We need Pam! WE need Pam! We need Pam!

John Georges needs to stick to video poker, which is not doing very well these days.

So looking forward to all heavily left slanting media to go under in a glorious fashion. Maybe out of the ashes a non-corrupt, bi-partisan medium will arise. They do not represent nor report to all the people.

It really feels like some local reporters feel left out of the national attention on this.

So on the time of “crisis” when the news is more important than ever, five days a week on the website, all you get is the subscription page when you try to open a story. Really?

You do realize that The Advocate is owned by a big time Democrat, right? A Democrat politician.

Georges is a piece of shite

He also single-handedly killed sports betting and fantasy sports in Louisiana last legislative session.

Weird a bunch of Fox news viewers are bitching about not factual reporting by other media. I guess we believe whatever fits our agenda. Whether it's true or not....

Don't use the advocate or nola.com for anything. Use local news like WBRZ and WGNO, they don't have bullshite paywalls anyways.

The advocate for as long as I could remember was easily the best paper in south Louisiana. But somewhere around 10 years ago it started going down hill and now it is as bad as the Times Pic was when it shutdown
