Natasha Ott, a 39-year-old woman who tested for coronavirus but was found dead on her kitchen floor last week before receiving her results, tested negative for the disease, her family said this week.

But Tisa Ott said her sister had complained in the past two years of "feeling sick off and on," though she said she was unsure if Natasha Ott had ever been formally diagnosed with a condition.

Can’t they just let the story play out, but they have to scream to the heavens any time there is a chance that someone has died from it. This crap journalism is no better than shouting fire in a crowded theater.

Hope this publication goes the way of the dodo.

Wait, I thought her test came back positive. She just died before the results came in. Or am I thinking of another incident?

I think the original story made drudge. This update will not.

That's the lady that they were saying died from corona even though her tests hadn't even come back yet, right? It was putrid reporting.

The first advocate reporter ran with the story because, you know, sensationalism over facts.

You fell for it. This was the story, but it was presented like a positive test was just a formality.

Really shitty writing.

Save that kind of detail for later in the article. Here simply write "but died last week before receiving her results"

The day before this article originally ran there was a story about a 90yr old who died in Lambedth House with a variety of maladies, but no corona symptoms. I can’t understand how anyone still subscribes to that crap.

I can't find the thread on it from last week. I thought I posted in it but apparently not. Was it deleted?

This is why I’m having a hard time giving news sites any views. I never know what is factual or what is used to push a story. I know COVID-19 is serious, but people are taking advantage of it.

You do realize that The Advocate is owned by a big time Democrat, right? A Democrat politician.

I did not know the owner is a politician, but I have known for quite some time that the Advocate is staffed by a bunch of super liberal morons.

The irony is that stories like this prolong the hysteria and kill the advertising revenue for the paper itself.
