Headline is misleading.

This is not a single edifice where an attempt is being made to compromise, appease, and "melting pot" the faiths together.

It is a complex where the church, synagogue, and mosque are separate (albeit similar in architecture) entities practicing their own faith.

Sounds like a prime target for a suicide bomber

shite, my church is fully on board with the “Jesus is an example but what really matters is being a good person and that’s how you get judged.”

Jesus is Lord whether they accept it or do not believe it. Gonna be a lot of hand holding and acceptance in hell. People need to know the truth.

The lack of self awareness here is cringey.

I place flat earthers and creationists in a similar odd yet unrealistic bubble.

Nope. Nobody is saying that.

One of the most powerful (and demanding) aspects of faith is believing what you do in spite of what others think.

If you create an autonomous, homogeneous population of groupthink, you destroy the very basis of faith.

Are you a Christian? If so, what did Christ say?

As someone who lives in Abu Dhabi (right down the road from this building) , I am quite surprised by this boards comments, maybe I should not be.

UAE is an Islamic country who has steadily opened up socially. The Abraham accords of 2019 opened diplomatic ties with Israel.

The overall message is that all three faiths actually worship the same God, and that is not a debatable fact…and perhaps instead of hatred there should be unity, or at least tolerance.

Evangelical Christians in the US worship in all types of places which are rented (schools, bars, movie theaters, music venues, etc) and that is ok, right? So why is it so wrong that all three faiths practice their faith of choice in the same building?

Personally, I think it is great and very “on brand” for UAE’s leadership, but perhaps you guys know more and I’m the ignorant one.

Except it's not even the same building. From what I can tell, there is a sort of common space for socializing and interfaith exchange (which happens all the time and everywhere...these posters own churches probably participate in some type of interfaith program) but the actual places of worship are separate and distinct.

It would be more like having an issue with a church being across the street from a mosque and a synagogue, and the three entities coordinating some kind of interfaith program together because of their proximity to each other.

Moral relativism at its finest.

Other people’s views are that your 9 year old daughter needs to go pee pee in a bathroom next to a 45 year man who’s sexually confused and thinks he’s a woman.

And you are a bigot racist if you even utter a small complaint.

So no. Only fricking retards think that.

I applaud the UAE's efforts and agree with alot of your comments, actually. Curious if there will be functioning congregations at the temple and church.

Yes because a play on an iconic football tradition and Homer Simpson is obvious signs of heresy.
