That mansion on the corner of Highland Rd and Bluebonnet

Passed by it today and I was always curious who owns it and how much the thing is worth.
So I got on Zillow to see if it had ever been listed or anything and the Zestimate on it is only $2.9 million. Says it was put on the market in 2014 for $18 million and was removed only a few months later then sold in 2015 for just $6 million. Does anyone know anything about this mansion?
After looking at pictures I can't help but wonder how a 41,000 square foot luxury castle can only sell for $6 mil or even $18 mil for that matter. What's the scoop on this place?

It was the Penningtons. Sold it to some dentist a few years ago

There are a lot of houses in the million dollar range here but it's a bad market for a property of that size.

Look it up on the tax assessor geoportal. Sold it to a dentist and his wife who is also a dentist but I think they make most their money on real estate. Not 100 percent on last part.

Paula Pennington De la Bretonne built it. She sold it to a husband and wife dental team Andre and Jessica Bruni.

Andre Bruni hes a good guy got rich by using his family money to open a ton of dentist locations in Wal Marks (and other stuff I'm sure)
His sister started Demo Diva in NOLA and is married to Jeff Crouere.

The extensive grounds and ridiculous square footage actually cost them money on the resale if you can believe it. I talked to a couple of realtors who had seen the listing and, as happens on properties like that, there was an "estimated monthly upkeep" figure involved. It was some astronomical amount. It's not like you can buy that place and cut the yard yourself and/or just let it go.
I was also told that they built the thing so huge because she was focused on having the largest private residence in Baton Rouge. Not sure if that is true or not.

So like Steve Jobs or Phil Knight, only he hires Americans instead of Chinese and pays them a free market wage instead of slave labour?

Last i checked no one in this country is being forced to take a job, I am sure if these dentist could land a better deal they would.
