After looking at pictures I can't help but wonder how a 41,000 square foot luxury castle can only sell for $6 mil or even $18 mil for that matter. What's the scoop on this place?

No matter what it cost to build, the pool of people willing to pay that kind of money to live in Baton Rouge is small to nonexistent.

Didn’t say that. Just his model is to hire leveraged students for low wages. Works for him I guess. Maybe they are the bottom of the class and can’t find a better deal anyway.

The extensive grounds and ridiculous square footage actually cost them money on the resale if you can believe it. I talked to a couple of realtors who had seen the listing and, as happens on properties like that, there was an "estimated monthly upkeep" figure involved. It was some astronomical amount. It's not like you can buy that place and cut the yard yourself and/or just let it go.

Even if I can afford it out of change I find in the sofa, I don't want to live any place that needs a staff. When I get home, the only people that better be there are immediate fam.

Yeah that seems weird to me too. I'd let my chef come over and prepare my meals but he has to go after he cleans up the kitchen

Look it up on the tax assessor geoportal. Sold it to a dentist and his wife who is also a dentist but I think they make most their money on real estate.

If they are in real estate I’d love to know who they justified investing in a home that was priced at $18M but sold for $6M

And they hire recently graduated dentists with large student loan debt and pay them shite.

They don’t have to take the job.

He bought bluebonnet dental, grew it to a few locations and then sold it to Heartland dental for a huge sum of money (a dental management company aka corporate dentistry). He said he didn’t even seek out the sale at first but the offer was just too big to pass up.
Last I heard he’s starting back up as a family practice...doing it the right way this time.

Is this the same couple who’s toddler died in a pool accident? Did that happen at the Pennington’s?

You’ve never lived by wealthy Indian families. They buy million dollar homes, stick 12 family members in it, and let the grounds and exterior turn to shite.
