He’s got some crazy shite going on. Race-baiting extremist Marxist is just the tip of the iceberg.

Discussed here a few weeks ago but not too deep iirc.

There’s no water out there. There’s no electrical lines out there. So it’s very harsh living conditions. And when I was there anyway, I didn’t see anything resembling a house, so I couldn’t tell you how those houses are going to be built, paid for, or apportioned out.

Then there’s that.

If you like desert shrubs, fine dust that gives you nosebleeds, high winds, extreme heat and cold, rolling hills, dust storms and tumbleweeds the side of your truck when the winds are blowing hard, it's definitely a wonderful place.

There was a hot chica that worked at the gas station in Mentone, but she didn't speak much English.

He just wants to do the same thing someone else tried out there several years back. He wants to get in power to swing elections in their favor to ride on the tax money.

He should have bought some land in town because he isn't going to get water where he is located. All of those wells are dry. If he could drill down about 5,000', they can hit the saltwater disposal shite!

A quick google turned this up, straight from his own 2024 Presidential campaign website:
quote:

He proposes an executive order that would provide African Americans with a $5,000 monthly settlement, signaling a step towards healing and acknowledgment. This initiative aims to address the systemic inequalities that have plagued communities for generations.

He is a wolf in sheep's clothing and he's coming to a town near you.

Similar takeovers almost happened in Tn 1970's - The Farm, and 1980's Oregon - Rajneeshpuram. Neither were successful...the latter dramatically so.

Ever since Judge Skeet got put away there’s been a power vacuum out there. It’s only natural a cult would try to move in.

Sounds like the perfect environment for people looking to be coddled with free shite.

This sounds like a throwback to the frontier where enterprising groups of tavelers and settlers would just vanish due to harsh conditions and associated dangers of the great outdoors.

Years ago I read how this was actually done in Texas. There are a couple of counies ran by one large Ranch.
I think the Wagoneer and the King ranchs are entire counties as well.

I didn't throw in the rattlesnakes, wondering tarantulas on June/July nights, anorexic cows that inhabit the lease roads... Oh that reminds me! The lease roads may be caliche, but there are huge jagged rocks that will flatten anything less than an E-rated tire.

It's vacation destination! It's not too far from Jal, NM also!!! I've been trying to give away a 5 Day/5 Night all expenses paid getaway to Jal for several years now. Everyone politely declines!

Yeah…I got a feeling if Skeet Jones were still in charge over there, this stuff would have already been nipped.

The influx of people to Texas sucks. Indian communities left and right around Dallas and Houston. Suburban sprawl overtaking suburban sprawl. Gentrification means oceans of parking lots and strip malls displacing older communities. And now, desolate and untouched areas are gonna be victim? frick that.

You don't even need one. You can see all kinds of crazy shite flying in the skies at night out there.

If you get off the highways and away from drilling pads, you would be all right with one. When you're driving at night, it looks like you're seeing lights off in the distance from a city, but it's all oil field tank batteries and drilling locations.

If you go back down to Pecos and head west on I-20, it gets worse.

The only part of Loving County that is worth a shite is just north of Mentone on County Road 300 where you can see the Guadalupe Mountains and Davis Mountains at the same time, but it has to be in the Winter. There is too much dust in the Summer months.

Sitting in Loving County at the moment.

I have been working here for 6 years and love it.

If the zombie apocalypse ever happens, we will safe here for alittle while.

If a concerted group wants to go to some unpopulated godforsaken shithole and make something out of it, then I’m rooting for them.

That’s what America is all about
