Exactly: Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. It's natural selection, really, so they need to die. If you can't keep your hands (or hate) to yourself, and refrain from dragging a good ol baw like that down the road like a piece of gdamn trash, then you can't live in this world. You are not the strongest, nor the fittest; because you are not smart in any capacity: You can't be strong and fit, but be stupid... and so you have got to go.

And from what Nat Geo tells me, the white supremacists in prison ain't nothing to scoff at, so I'd imagine if he was accessible, he wasn't a lone, sitting duck. Can you imagine this being your legacy? You go down in the annals of history with this legacy...smdh.

Bad as it sounds, I'm glad it didn't happen today with social media like it is. I remember when it did happen, and if it happened today, or God forbid something like it happens again today, it could quite possibly nosedive this country into absolute and chaotic civil unrest.

In general I try to.

This one gets under my skin because it is an example of trying to make a major law change because it “feels good” when it wouldn’t have changed the result at all. The cherry on top was using it as ammo to try and smear someone as racist for having the temerity to say “no”.

You mean it only took 20 years to carry out the sentence? That was quick.

If your argument is natural selection then reason dictates every white man in here has to support this guy's actions.

That this is getting downvoted is concerning to me.

I disagree with hate crime laws

I disagree with the death penalty (though not really on a moral basis)

But this crime is the epitome of a crime made even more egregious due to the motive, and it's among the most deserving of the death penalty.

Maybe I am a terrible person, but it did put a smile on my face after reading this headline.

This is about as gruesome as a crime can get. I will never understand how a person can be so evil. It's one thing to maybe shoot someone in a moment of rage. But to be able to beat someone, chain them to the back of a truck, then proceed to drive that truck for miles. All the while hearing screaming and likely looking in the rear-view mirror the entire time. Then proceed to dump the body and leave it for dead while you continue with life as normal, that is just another stage of evil that I could never comprehend in my head.

It really brings context to just how dumb Kamala Harris was when she said the Jussie Smollet incident was a modern-day lynching. Nah, this right here constitutes a modern day lynching.

I’m not sure this thread had legs anyhow.
What is there to debate? Other than “why did this take 20 years?”
So a Bernie/Democrat candidate jab is fine by me

Yup! Should have been a Dead Man Walking the day after conviction at sunrise. Public hanging in the middle of town.

surprised he lasted that long in prison, although I'll bet he had celebrity status among his fellow white supremacist inmates

This is the only way I see him surviving in their that long. Cuz aint no way all the black prisoners were cool with him knowing the crime that he committed.

I don't get this sentiment. Are you saying this one particular crime is beyond your comprehension, or that this level of cruelty in general is something you can't comprehend?

Aren’t death row inmates segregated from general population? I don’t even think they have contact with other death row inmates. So his survival is because he was on death row, at least I think that’s how it is.
