okay I read. she just thought it was feral.

I mean, it's an uncollared cat in an apparently rural area. It's not a big jump to think the cat is feral.

I meant that posting a picture on fb was not unethical. I'll debate the act of killing it, but posting pics is dumb, not wrong.

Outside cats normally come back because that's where their food is, unless they are snatched by a predator or shot in the face by a psycho neighbor. I've had outside cats that I've cared about that I didn't chip or tag.

Normally, but they are still animals. My wife, soon to be vet, had an outside cat while growing up. Lived out there for 15+ years. Chipped and everything. Got old, ventured away for days at a time, and didnt come back one day. A neighbor found it and brought it to them after it had been mauled by a dog.

Pretty simple, tag and chip your pets. Keep the cat outside if you want but be aware that just because it usually comes back doesnt mean it always will.

I'm well aware. Outside cats have short life spans. A natural death is just easier to swallow than your psycho neighbor shooting it in the eye with an arrow.

No. Despite our flaws, we are intelligent enough to see our mistakes and consider fixing them.

Cats are not.

Scruffy had no qualms with recognizing our place in the hierarchy of nature.

No shite.

Im sure many came through here with the misconception that Vets are these overly compassionate animal and PETA freaks.

Reality is just about all of them hate farel cats. You get pretty desensitized to animal deaths after having to euthanize them. That chick is definitely a bit psycho for the bow and arrow pic on fb. I dont disagree with that at all.

I can maybe understand mistaking your neighbor's cat for a feral cat under certain circumstances but you'd have to be retarded to shoot at it without making sure first.

I don't be disagree. I'm doing my part by not procreating. Are you? If you haven't had kids and you still feel like that's not enough, you could really help the planet by KYS.

This is the most "internet talk" I've seen in a while. WTF is wrong with some of you?

I don't know. My wife still isn't "desensitized" to euthanizing them. And thats considering the ones that really are at their end of life or suffering.
This chick in TX is fricked up on multiple levels. Glad they pulled her license.
