I can't imagine why people think putting shite like this on the internet is a good idea. I don't sympathize with the backlash simply because she's a dumbass for just that reason.

Yeah - not a good move there. What a shame to go through all that hard work and have it destroyed by a Facebook picture

You're good to go. It doesn't work on a farm and doesn't have a W-2 stating such. Shoot on sight.

No. Apparently the neighbors found out where Tiger went once the pictures started floating around FB.

Not condoning the actions of the vet AT ALL.

But these people need to be better pet owners. Cat wasnt chipped or tagged.

Jesus, this was awful before I read that it wasn't even a feral cat. What a horrible way to lose a family pet.

This woman is a fricking psycho.

Actually, the family that let that cat run around outside is a family of shitstains.

House cats that are allowed outside and feral cats are a blight on the environment.

I like how you left off the part about the expectation to keep the small dog in it's yard still exists, classy.

Maybe not a psychopath, but a blatant disregard for the code of ethics of veterinary medicine at the very least shows she shouldn't hold a license.

You do know that vets put down millions of animals every year, right? So if she traps this cat, and takes it to a shelter, where it gets killed after spending a week freaking out in a cage, that's better somehow?

Dude, she shot a neighbor's cat in the face with an arrow, and posted it on FB like she had downed an 8 point buck. That has to raise doubts as to whether or not she's qualified to be a vet.

ETA: And to answer your questions, the answer is clearly yes. The neighbors have a chance to retrieve their pet in that scenario.

I don't know the veterinary code of ethics, but I'm guessing they must uphold the integrity of the profession and provide compassionate care for animals. Also, public health and safety...

What she did violates it. The same end can have different means. Life is complicated, I know.
