Dude, she shot a neighbor's cat in the face with an arrow, and posted it on FB like she had downed an 8 point buck. That has to raise doubts as to whether or not she's qualified to be a vet.
Scruffy blames the family that let that cat outside.

The neighbors have a chance to retrieve their pet in that scenario.
Clearly they didnt care that much about it if they let it run around outside with no chip or tag.

Not legit. Of course I'd bone her. I've fricked some real monsters in my day.

That's one hell of a shot. Did they state a range?

Outside cats normally come back because that's where their food is, unless they are snatched by a predator or shot in the face by a psycho neighbor. I've had outside cats that I've cared about that I didn't chip or tag.

That was a feral cat, correct?

I don't see a collar. She has a horse, so she clearly lives in a rural area. If you want people to know an animal is yours, you need to have a collar on it. Otherwise it can be taken to a shelter and killed in a matter of a couple of days. Or shot, if it goes onto someone else's property and presents a threat to someone else's pet. Maybe it seems like overkill, but if there were uncollared animals wandering around my property and I had pets around or other property that was being damaged, I'd have to consider getting rid of the animal. How is she supposed to know it belongs to someone? I've seen plenty of stray/feral cats in the woods in LA that look healthy and well fed, miles away from any cites or homes.

Poor judgement, sure, but hardly unethical.

I have no problems with feral cats being killed. That cat doesn't look feral to me, though. A little bit psychotic for her to post it on FB too.
Oh btw this is at least a year old. Maybe two.

That woman is a fricking piece of shite. I hope she gets prosecuted to the fullest extent. That was someone's fricking pet. What a piece of white trash.

this was some premeditated shite.
I would bet anything that cat and woman have interacted thus
the time is 2 AM
Cat noise next to house: MROW MROW two cats fighting for a while ,clatter bang, knocks garbage over. fighting over scraps MROW MROW.
tip toeing out. BOOM
the posting on FB was suicide. she needs therapy bad.

Did this count expect to get hundreds of likes on FB? People do some stupid shite for attention. That trashbag probably has this picture on her tinder. Anyone who supports this is just as stupid.

provide compassionate care for animals
I'm just being honest here, I don't see how being rightfully charged with providing medical care for animals prevents you from removing animals that appear to be feral. Should she catch and take raccoons to a shelter too if they are a threat to her own pet? What about poisonous snakes that she finds on her property? Moles in her yard? I don't see how a cat that is feral is ethically any different than a wild animal.

Its prolly not a good morning anymore.
