1st test on 6/15
2nd test 6/30
Haven't left the house since the first test.
Haven't had any type of symptom since 6/15
Dr said I could possibly test positive for up to 40 days. Then released me to go back to work.
Work requires a negative test result in order to return

You'd count as two separate cases in my state.

Are you paying for the tests?
Just curious how many times you are going to have to do this if you need a negative for work
Also, did you ask your Dr about the duplicate positives?

This does happen but you are highly unlikely to be contagious.
Posted on 7/1/20 at 1:48 pm to NatalbanyTigerFan
you will be shedding dead virus for up to a month or so. Tests will still pick that up as a positive. You're work is wrong.

Had a buddy test positive for 53 days

Man that stinks. They are saying 40 days...that's crazy.
Tested for my 2nd negative. The lag for results this time was longer (5 days) and the testing process was more thorough than before. Obviously, the lag in results means unless I fully lock down (which I have to) the negative results means nothing.
Side note, would love to find out what the CARES Act is paying insurance companies for the free test. Mine have been through work or the health department.

10 days from the initial positive test you no longer need isolation

Did they use the PCR test? Does that actually test for the specific COVID-19 virus, or does it just detect if you have coronavirus? Did they tell you what the percentage inaccuracy is on that test?
