Bo and Luke would never get caught

Small minds can’t comprehend the day when human drivers are eliminated from the interstates and you replace high speed rail with 250MPH Roadster taxis going from any city to any city without building Billion dollar per mile mass transit track.
This Roadster may represent the next evolution from Waymo, geofencing notwithstanding. Curious about range and if that will be the next great rate limiting factor since the hurdle of gravity seems to have been partially cleared

The website says there will be a rocket version with flight controls.

Why do you enjoy debasing yourself so often?

Just got a chance to watch it. When it first went upside down, I was like, "yeah, that's pretty impressive." Then it did it again and did the whole barrel roll thing and my jaw hit the floor. shite like this makes me realize we truly are living in the 21st century.
There are going to be new federal and state laws written for this vehicle, and I'm sure the insurance industry is having a fit in meetings this morning.

Imagine how easy it will be to get from your house to Taj on nolensville road.

What we saw last night will never be street legal in our current roadway system.
I doubt humans are ever given the ability to control the cars in that way, from inside the car.

I know that, and I stand by my take.

Let’s see what the insurance is going to cost.
In some states, Tesla has their own insurance based on your driving behavior.
But yeah that’s an absurd level of acceleration.

I like mine as a commuter car but also have a gas and diesel. Wouldn’t have an electric if that was my only option.
Same here (2 gas burners and 1 electric). It’s easy to keep charged up that way just using a regular outlet, so there is basically no stress about range. A lot easier to get around town for running errands.
It’s just a base model 3 but still super fun to drive. I was in a hurry yesterday because I had to go all the way back home…I was getting onto the hwy and 90% of the time would have just yielded with the other lane getting on but I was clearly there first and decided to get out in front of what I realized was like a V8 mustang and he got mad…he tried to accelerate to make me feel like a dick but he couldn’t keep up.
Point is, Tesla makes a pretty capable vehicle, if the roadster ever comes out it will be bad arse

That was really cool and warmed my heart to see the Blade Runner Spinner come closer to reality...but TBH I would've rather seen a more "down to earth" but still high performance roadster that would be reasonably affordable and available soon.

I suspect it is going to be released with all the bells and thrusters we saw. Price wise, nobody here is going to be able to afford the SpaceX version, but someone will get the intro version.
Tesla is going to be able to geo-lock the flying parts, where it can only be done in certain non-public locations. Their FSD is industry leading, and kick-flip mode will come with many nanny features. Suction mode will probably only unlock when at a track.
While Elon is having fun, this tech they are pioneering is truly for moon and Mars vehicles. Vehicles there will need to run on battery and need these thrusters to traverse certain areas. Basically imagine vehicles in Armageddon movie.

Elon said FSD wouldn’t be available on the Roadster.
