That is government in general, regardless of religion.

well yeah

religion is just a social grouping that uses government to promote itself and its values at the expense of freedom

but my example also included SJWs, who i imagine are much less religious than most other cultural groups in the US

SOOOOOOOO...

if this attack was "for syria" (that's what is being reported one of the jack legs shouted), then Russia got their's coming. If this shite went down in Moscow, the world would collectively stop and errbody would be like "awwww shite, you done did it now"

It's both actually.

I just had to explain to my 16 year old about the evil we are facing but aren't willing to admit.

Her brother was sleeping on the couch and I explained that these people would like nothing more than to slit his throat while he slept.

On the other hand, if I were in a room with a Muslim family I would just ask questions about their religion and why it's the source of so much terror.

Big difference in goals between the two.

Tolerance is becoming overrated.

Is that rebuttal supposed to mean that communism didn't want authoritarian control of peoples lives?

Will the Obama administration continue with its plan to allow an additional 9000 Syrian refugees into the country? There are already 1000 here...

This attack well be worse than 911. 911 was an attack on an icon. People died but it was the buildings, symbols that were important. Today the killed hundreds of small, insignificant peeler at restaurants and concerts.

Did you live through 9/11? Have you lived in America since 9/11? What the frick is wrong with you? Seriously?

One's a religion, the other is a Western political philosophy. 70% of American Muslims identify as Democrat.

he made a valid point though

scope is one thing, but the power of terror on every day life is another. 911 clearly was bigger in scope, but the question is which has a bigger impact on everyday life. this kind of shite hasn't been seen outside of the middle east or southeast asia

canadians weren't afraid of being attacked on 9/12/01

i bet you a bunch of money tomorrow millions of brits, germans, dutch, etc wake up in fear of going out into public

Right. Attacks in theaters, cafes and subways probably do more to freak people out than a plane hitting an American symbol. Those are fairly easy places to avoid, unless you work there.

I've seen a good bit of documentaries on ISIS, with many interviews. It is 100% religious, and not just Christianity, Judaism, etc. They even want non-radical Muslims to die. They don't give two shits about western ideals.

I don't know if I can clarify it any more than I have, but they want the apocalypse to happen. They believe the reason they are alive is to bring about the apocalypse. Your thinking it's your job to take care of your kids is the same exact way they think about making the apocalypse happen. They already control the place where their apocalypse is supposed to happen. Everything they do is to bring the fighting there.

You cannot do anything about it. Nobody can.

I've got a good friend in Israel, asked her the same thing. She said it's safer than living in many US cities.

I suppose in certain areas, that might be true.

She said she avoids public transportation though.
