Exterminator..... please don't kill them yourself lol.

imidacloprid brother, we got an infestation and it killed them all dead. There is a fly killer called quick bayt that contains imidacloprid. Spray it where ever there is activity and it will kill every last one. 20 bucks vs whatever the exterminator is charging you.

I also use it for wasps. I have areas I cannot spray the nest itself so I spray around the entrance and all of em die.

Wife and I were on the porch last night, she noticed a couple of bugs crawling around the inside of a candle lantern, and said “I wonder what kind of bugs those are”. I glanced over and casually replied “oh, they’re termites.”

The face she made conveyed immediately that I had made a terrible, terrible mistake

Hate this time of year. Get to add a daily chore of vacuuming the carcasses for a few weeks. They just swarmed in Covington pretty heavy the last two nights, so we SHOULD get a bit of a break while they train their next army. You don't usually see more than 2 nights in a row :knocks on wood:

Driving through central Tangipahoa last night, I had never seen swarms so dense.

I immediately thought of OweO.

They’re here but relatively light in north Tangi. I’ll take them over love bugs 100% of the time.

Just found a few dead in the window sills. Because they’re swarming does that mean it may not be an infestation yet?

My wife's nephew does pest control. He came out and put some bait stations in with a 2 stroke auger and sprayed along the house and leaves.i have no clue what he sprayed.

The outside of our house was sprayed and inspected outside just a month or so ago. I just found a BUNCH of dead ones in the house by doors and baseboards. Not sure what to do now.

I just asked him. He sprayed Onslaught.

The bait stations were put around the house in the ground using a 2 stroke auger and then pounding them into the hole.

Added context:

This is what my bait stations looked like. Inserted about a month ago.

Inspected all seven. Didn’t see one dead or alive (bait isn’t active).

The past few mornings I have woken up to find 1-2 dead ones in my kitchen. I am assuming they are probably swarming overnight and getting through the kitchen vent or something. May need to start turning off my porch lights.

Yeah, there's not a single house that's immune to getting swarmers inside. Even if you find 20+ inside after each swarm, don't be too alarmed. Whether it's new construction, or you had all your lights turned off, it doesn't matter. When there's hundreds of billions of those a-holes swarming, there's going to be some lucky winners that found a way in.

They get into your attic pretty easily through a vent or through a crack in soffit or something. Once they get up there they'll get into the main house through light fixtures, A/C vents, or dropping down a wall and crawling out under the shoe moulding. There's no stopping it. Just turn off the lights and be prepared to vacuum in the morning.
