Expensive COL, high taxes, Denver is a sewer, the people are weird and the style of homes suck.

On the positive side of the ledger, beautiful scenery and outside the major metros (Denver) it’s largely conservative - if that’s your thing.

Check out Aurora. Governor Polis says it’s a nice place to live.

My lesbian sister lives in Longmont, she isn't apolitical but she also probably doesn't even have signs in her yard. Idk maybe she does. But the denver area is incredibly left leaning, look at the damn election lol.

Much of Longmont is in Weld County, an extremely conservative county. You can look at the election. Longmont, also, is not part of the "Denver area."

Longmont is way more "Denver area" than it is Weld county. It may not be full on Boulder (yet), but it's trending that way. People that vote Boulder but can't afford it go to Longmont. Find me the Weld County rancher on the Longmont City Council.

The food scene is severely lacking there. Very little flavor. Literally any SEC state has better food.

Well yall should be cold up in the mountains. That's part of the charm.

Oh certainly.

Tomorrow is unusually cold for even here. Handful of days are like that.

Im used to like 35-40 highs/10-15 low. All and all, its pleasant with the dryness and sunshine.

Denver is one of the cities that received the most money from fema to house migrants.

Venezuelan gangs.

Disagree. There’s plenty of good food in Denver and the mountains.

Big mountains keep the really cold air out.

We get some below zero nights, single digits aint rare. Weather straight sucks 1/3 of the time.

Then the sun comes out, we get a little above freezing and keep out of the "frick this" cold in the am.

Some of these level head people likely live there or ones just like them. Although one likely is Corinthians420.

Coming here and telling someone from Boulder or Longmont they live in the denver area is a good way to start a really annoying argument.

Like virtually every suburban town surrounding one of the bigger Colorado cities, Longmont is much less liberal than it's bigger neighbor. Denver people have been moving to Aurora, Parker, centennial, and the like for cheaper housing for decades. Those cities have pretty mixed voting bases, but the city governments have remained conservatively run.
