I kinda enjoy seeing people wearing old school rock t-shirts - IDK - I think it's cool - brings back a lot of memories from the 80s
I agree. Doesn't have to be metal specific, but I enjoy seeing a The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Ramones, etc. retro on younger adults. I hope they listen and it's not just a fashion statement. Hope that makes sense.

Been seeing lots of younger black chicks with these
especially the classic Nirvana face t shirt.. Have they actually listened to those albums? More power to them if so.

You're putting GnR and Metallica in the same category as Poison?

Slash was about to be their guitar player but didn't want to dress up.

I really hate poison and most of GNR too. Not nearly evil enough for my standards

Teenagers have been wearing metal band T-shirts for as long as metal bands have existed. It isn’t a trend.

Teens wearing metal band t-shirts

Almost annoying as the hoodie-in-100-degree-weather trend

Is it really?

I don't see why a metal band t-shirt should annoy you. You obviously have not been shopping in Forever21, H&M, or Hot Topic, where Blondie and Selena are just two of the choices. The fashion is nothing new. Steve Birnbaum, a documentary film-maker, set up Band of Shirts in 2015, an Instagram account documenting people wearing band T-shirts in New York, with captions telling the stories behind their T-shirts. He said he encounters more and more young people “wearing T-shirts but they’re not a fan of the band. I don’t censor [what they say] and feel bad sometimes; they get abuse online for wearing the shirt.”

like don’t wear the t-shirt of a band you didn’t know existed before your mom took you to Hot Topic yesterday. that’s fricking stupid

Its their classic rock... Had a student this year (8th grader with "free dress" all year for scoring Advanced on all LEAP tests in 7th grade) who wore band shirts every day. Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Tool, Pantera, etc. She said that its the music she listens to with her dad when they are riding to and from school.

Almost as annoying as LSU fans and their affliction shirts and loud pipes driving through the neighborhood

yes, this common stereotype of LSU fans definitely exists, and we all find it very upsetting.

Those 3 mentioned aren't close to being metal. Might as well wear a Poison or Winger shirt

Metallica has sucked since 1989. They sold out its fans. What size WASP or Stryper shirt you wear?

This seems to have you a little rustled. No need to be “that guy”.

I have a few Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Iron Maiden t shirts. They are good colorful graphic tees to match my Jordan’s

So how would you feel about graphic tees with an image of ... (drum roll)... themselves? I sometimes make graphic t-shirts for models I photograph with their own photo on them.

One asked to have script across the bottom of her picture reading, "Why yes. I AM a model." because so many people commented to her that she should be, and she could then just point at the t-shirt as a reply.
