I’ve never even heard of icon park.

LINK
Since OP only wants to put videos of people dying, here is a link to the story. This is horrible. It appears to be the carnival style park that you pass up when driving from Disney to Universal. I see it all the time, but I've never been there.

frick roller coasters and any ride that puts me way up into the air. The only thing I am getting on leaving the ground is an airplane.

Same thing happened on a ride called Mine Drop at Glenwood Springs, CO

Maybe this was an attempt at getting something cool on video, like a stunt gone bad. They were asking a lot of questions, seems to distract the employee. Maybe the rider squirmed out of the harness. He seemed to be on the outside of the harness when it slowed near the bottom, throwing him to the ground.

How was the crew so slow to turn to the ride off after that?
If we can't count on the workers of ICON Park in Orlando to be responsive, detail-driven professionals, who can we count on?

I cannot tell you how many times I've envisioned that happening to myself or someone else in my mind while waiting for the drop at the top of one of those.
That video may keep me off for the rest of my life. Holy shite man.
I feel this way about every ride I go on, which is why I try to stick with largely funded parks that have a reliable QA system. Now I will be even more cautious at local school fairs with those shoddy rides. Man this hurts. I can't imagine what those parents are feeling right now, and I pray I never have to. That video has me shaken right now.
I highly suggest people not to watch it.

Apparently that drop tower was added in December and it’s the largest of its kind in the world.

And that my friends, is why you don't trust carnies with your safety.

Sound made me nauseous. I would assume the ride failed because he was ejected at the bottom of the controlled fall.
It seems the employee was either walking up to him to call 911 or take pictures?

These rides at cheap parks like this all have burn out kids who don’t care about anything working em. They couldn’t even flip burgers at McDonald’s let alone operate a ride like this. Notice also how none of them even bother to help the kid after he falls. They just stand there.

It was already 1/2 way down when he fell out.
I had the same thought, but those rides are basically freefalling anyways, so he probably had the same velocity.

That's awful. I sure would like to know exactly how this tragedy happened.

Damn. We rode that when we went to CO for my brothers wedding.

Yeah we had rode it a few months before it happened

I remember riding Acrophobia at the Atlanta six flags when I was a teenager and had no idea it tilted you forward before the drop.
I sounded like a hysterical woman that had just witnessed the death of her child.
Never again.

They just opened this thing a few months ago. I can see it from my house at night, looks like a giant lit up penis. This same group has another ride a few hundred feet away that a worker fell from and died maybe six months ago.

How the hell did he fall out?!
He slid out underneath the pull down harness.

It looks like he slid out the bottom of his seat. You’d think for a ride like that, there would be a 5 point harness and other restraint devices as well. It looks like the only restraint device on the ride was some type of over the shoulder bar.
