Remember a race he entered where other boats capsized and maybe a few deaths. I think they canceled the race but Ted said frick it, and finished the race. I believe it was off the coast of U. K.

He almost had Vince McMahon beat.

Yep.

Had it not been for Tony Schaivone spoiling Foley winning the WWF title on RAW it may have well happened.

This was the only place, before cable deregulation, that you could find Gilligan's Island, Leave it to Beaver, Andy Griffith etc. daily. Plus, on Saturday's, Georgia Championship 'Rasslin. This channel was a life saver in the summer as a kid in the 1970s.

The money they were throwing around, and Bischoff's lack of organization wasn't sustainable. But.......... Nitro was awesome when NWO was over.

The man single handedly saved so many great films by having them restored, then colorized electronic copies of them to make them more attractive to syndication

he then used the proceeds from that to start Turner Classic Movies, which still airs hundreds of films (in their original black and white glory) that would otherwise been lost to history if he hadn’t “ruin”(sic) them

Sorry to see him go, but it should've been his ex-wife instead! She's always on the wrong side of history...from North Vietnam's useful idiot to Trump hater that she is now!
If she goes before me, I think I'll take a vacation to visit her gravesite. Hopefully, I'll have to piss while there!

He single handily competed with Vince McMahon and was beating him for a good amount of time. He was part of what made my childhood great. The Monday Night wars was awesome

I remember a story from the Crazy Days and Nights blog about the main guy going to the Playboy mansion and seeing footage of all kinds of famous people doing drugs and screwing. A blog, yes, but I've never seen CDAN proven wrong. One of the films was of Ted Turner, getting pegged by then wife Jane Fonda by the swimming pool.

Also, he gave us 24 hour news. frickin thanks Ted.
