It's practically impossible to do that anymore. When I jerk off now I have to pretend I'm looking at porn on my phone.

I still use paper calendars/planners. I much prefer them to electronic versions.

I miss a time where people didn't stare at their phones for hours. (I type this staring at my phone)

Seriously though its a big problem for some. I could make a whole thread about her but my sister came for Christmas. Within 2 minutes she asked for our wifi pw and stared at fb for 4 days. Pathetic really

I agree with this 100%. I’ve been making a sincere effort to stay off my phone when around family the last few months. Luckily, everyone in my family has been making an effort and it really hasn’t been a problem but I hate it when you’re with a group of people and everyone is on their phone or if it’s just you and another person and they’re stuck in their phone. It’s insulting.

I’m presently taking a poo, so this post is justified.

I absolutely miss being a kid and going to Blockbuster to rent a movie and video game for the weekend. But that doesn't mean I want to ever go back to that process vs clicking a button nowadays and having the same thing.

yeah

it was more about looking at movie cases and reading synopses than the actual acquisition

i used to spend literal hours in video stores looking at movies and reading the backs. then i'd go home and read books on movies and see if they were included with a rating

sometimes, especially if you're learning a new area or are developing your brain in youth, the easy way isn't the best way long-term

*ETA: that is all about learning about movies/film. if you're just somebody who wants something random, frick yeah today is 100000x better

i would still donit every now and then i think

you could accidentally stumble across something decent at Blockbuster.
hard to do that online now

i feel really bad for people who missed out on the glory days of netflix streaming, when it was still new (so rights were dirt cheap) and they had all sorts of amazing gems to find. i miss THAT so terribly i can't describe it. it's like describing losing the love of your life

I miss smaller touchscreen phones. It's a PITA looking for a decent one that isn't the size of a tablet. My pockets are only so big. I don't have room for a huge phone in there
