I miss stores in general. I remember going to any big box store as a kid and the workers being very helpful in general. My parents remember the same thing. Online caused retailers to staff less and less people, conditions got worse, turnover is much faster, the workers are fresh constantly and untrained. It's really snowballed to the point of being a complete dumpster fire for the stores still open. Oh and after amazon took over and put them out of business, Amazon starts cutting corners, raising prices, having less and less standards on the products they sell, and implemented their own cheap and shitty delivery system.

Talking instead of texting

I think OP hit nail on the head. Not so much for me, but I wish my kids would’ve experienced blockbuster as teens when they date. Going pick up your girl, driving to blockbuster, picking out a couple of movies to bring back to the house to watch was pretty cool.

I wish Facebook were no more. I miss the days when people actually talked to each other. For real. Not this public display of bullshite.
I actually miss the days of AOL instant messenger. It was like a social gathering place where you can talk to each of your friends whenever you like without feeling too obligated to have a conversation or not. I felt like people really talked honestly then.

Cell phones have made people crazy
It’s no coincidence that the first sin was biting a fruit and now a significant portion of the population is consumed by a thing whose symbol is an apple that has been bitten.

Cars that didn't beep at me automatically for lock/unlock. Having an actual key to turn in the ignition was much more rewarding.

Fast Food places actually had all of there menu items written down and grouped together (i.e. burgers, sides, chicken, etc) with the prices beside them. Not all this changing video screens of one or 2 items having to wait around for it all to float back around.

I don’t know about miss but it ticks me off that Boys don’t have to call a landline and have dad answer the phone and say what’s your name son. Then give the phone to his daughter.

Buying records/tapes/CD’s at a music store. Listening to an album start to finish.
i still do this for 99% of my music.
my wife and kids both give me hell about it.
they say shite like “just go download that song instead of searching for the CD”
hen about a month later she’ll say “ooh, i like this song. how come i never heard this before?”
um, because you only download one over-played song instead of buying the whole album and finding the actual good shite on it.

I miss independent radio stations. They used to play new music by independent artists and we would get great music, now we or force fed music from the studios who own the radio stations.
I miss MTV.
I miss being gone somewhere with no expectations of remaining in contact with other people. Cell phones ruined that forever.
I miss seeing kids playing outside. Now you don’t even know if kids live in a neighborhood, they are like ghosts.
I miss road trips that you had to plan out. You used to have get an atlas be able to read a map. You had to really do a lot of work to plan a trip. Now you just go because your cell phone as GPS and an encyclopedia of everything to do everywhere. That sounds great, but kids will never know the excitement of anticipation. That anticipation and planning was half the fun.
I guess I just miss the 80s.
