There was more accountability for punctuality when you couldn't just text that you were running late. If I say I'm meeting you at 7pm, I'll be there at 7pm. Nowadays people are less considerate.

Cameras. Nowadays everybody takes shitty pictures of their food. Pictures used to cost money and people actually photographed shite that mattered

Buying records/tapes/CD’s at a music store. Listening to an album start to finish.

Fishing and hunting. It was better and a lot cheaper before it became a dick measuring contest to see who has the most/biggest/best toys.

Before social media I didn't know so many of my friends and relatives were cranks, crackpots, and conspiracy theorists.

T9 texting was in full swing by the time I was in high school. Can't imagine how much easier dating would be without the constant back and forth texting bullshite. Easier in the sense of some periodic peace and quiet.

Or your spouse/SO. My Mom and Dad usually didn't talk from the time he left in the morning until he got home at night. Try telling your honey she can't text you during work hours.

Aw hell yeah. I had the only one in my group of friends who all had Nokia Bricks, and the thought of them showing me "Snake" on their phones while I had nothing of the sort still pisses me off.

Still, that was a STOUT flip phone. Nearly impossible to accidentally break.

I miss a time where people didn't stare at their phones for hours. (I type this staring at my phone)

Seriously though its a big problem for some. I could make a whole thread about her but my sister came for Christmas. Within 2 minutes she asked for our wifi pw and stared at fb for 4 days. Pathetic really

Walmart had Oregon Trail, unchanged from the old floppy disc version, on a hand held.

Gave it to my nephew and that’s all he played with despite all the other toys. So there is hope.

I miss record stores. Hi enjoyed looking through bins of CDs.

I REALLY loved sifting through the cutout bins for bargain CDs.

But I like being able to look up titles on Amazon or oldies.com.

Asking if they have SOS or Basia CDs at FYE produces blank stares from the stoner behind the counter.

Raised keyboards on cell phones. My fat fingers rue the day those left us.

I was just thinking about how I miss going to Blockbuster and picking out a movie on a weekend night even though I have the ability to rent whatever I want without leaving home at any time of day.

You can still do this at the library.

The same old problem of being too lazy to return the movies is why it is only fun to do it once in a while.

Electric seat position adjuster in cars. I miss the simple handle that lets me do it in 1 second.

That’s why you double book. Show up on time or go to the back of the line

What I was coming to post. There is literally nothing good about it for an independent physician in private practice. Incredibly inefficient and mostly useless.

I remember going to the old local movie rental store and trying to always get a peak in the adult room. Once I was at the counter checking out and some shady guy came out with a stack of porn and placed them on the counter next to us. I was in shock and awe

I miss the old way of using practical effects in movies instead of using CGI for everything. Half of movies today look like a Playstation game.
