Picking up trash on the highway would be a god thing to do. If I was a teacher, I would volunteer to do it.

You don't have to be a teacher, Baw. Get out there and get you some.

Yeah you're an idiot. My wife is a teacher and she's doing more work preparing all these online lessons than she normally would be doing. And let's be real. You WOULD NOT volunteer to pick up trash on the side of the road.

I am pretty sure teachers are working right now. My son's teachers uploads assignments, do web conferences, and are quick on the grading. In some ways you can make a case they are busier than before.

Maybe I am missing something here...

My kids are still getting taught. The teachers are putting together lesson plans and having video conferences.

There's a ton to complain about right now like the people being forced to shut their business down. Teachers doing nothing is the least of the world's problems.

Can't wait to see them on Facebook in July complaining about preparing lesson plans

Just volunteer to do it anyway. What is stopping you?

Are you making the assumption they're not working right now?The ones I work with have even extended their hours to accommodate kids who can't get on to do the work until the evening.

Why don't you just volunteer to do it now instead of posting on TD?

Every teacher I know is still working. I only know a handful of state workers and they are either still reporting to the office or working from home like the rest of us.

Which brings me to a question of why the frick are you bitching about this?

Good God and people say I'm a shitty poster around here. Thankfully, for me, you just outdumbed me.

What would you tell your bosses as to why you're not teaching your students via zoom right now?

One thing that has be reinforced, in my opinion, is that most state workers are overpaid, useless, or both.

Hey dumbass, you can volunteer to pick up trash even if you're not a teacher...why don't you do that instead of wrongfully criticize others. My wife is a school counselor and continues to work (extra hours I might add). I'm a state employee and continue to work long hours. Neither of us is overpaid. We earn what we are paid and are proud of what we do.
