Indeed.

I look at product reviews as a parallel. Roughly 1/4th of all consumer goods returned by consumers are because they dont know how to correctly use the product.

I suspect you'll get a lot of emotional women saying a lot of bullshite on this app. Anyone taking it seriously needs counseling.

Or you could be like my old college classmate who found out her husband was having multiple affairs in that group.

I think there is a massive difference between that and getting strangers opinions on men to decide if you wanted to date them.

If I was single again I wouldnt date a girl that used this platform. It would be really hard for me to trust anyone that would basically put the opinion of strangers above actually getting to know me.

This whole thing sounds like that social media episode from Black Mirror.

So they’ve created a world where they can wait for the “perfect” guy while denigrating any guy who doesn’t meet their super high standards.

But its an illusion. They cant wait....they can take sloppy seconds and all the baggage that comes with that. They'll never be happy because they cant have everything...no one can...trade offs for everyone...

???
PROFIT

Yeah agreed. That doesn't change the fact of my statement that options are becoming more limited and interactions have more consequences.

You are acting like those same people, personalities, and interactions also don't exist IRL.

Even interactions that you think go well IRL can be fabricated and they still run to that place and talk shite after the fact or act like they are interested so they don't have to deal with any backlash face to face if they rejected you in person.

I agree with you, but it is not black and white.

Yeah I dont trust consumer reviews at all. I did a short stint in marketing (filling in for a year absence) and learned quickly how those ratings are manipulated, and even the proper ones are compiled by idiots who dont understand how this all works.

It happens. But its become impossible to weed out the idiots from the truly aggrieved when it comes to reviews.

when I met my wife 15 years ago she would hop in my car on a Friday afternoon of a big weekend, finish her texts, drop the phone onto her purse on the floorboard, ask me to put the rolling Stones on and not touch the phone again.

Phones are poison, baws and bawettes

Agreed. Hit the gym, work on yourself, meet people in real life. Still doesn't change the fact that women are going a complete opposite direction. Men can do all those things and as long as women continue to go down this road it isn't getting better for the young guys.

I downloaded the app a few weeks ago because I’m nosy. The Baton Rouge area is very boring for content. It’s like 90% pictures of young black men inexplicably posing at gas stations while flipping the bird.

If a picture like that isn’t reason enough not to pursue someone, I don’t think this app will help.

If this mobile app was transformed into a person, it would be a selfish, narcissistic whore.

according to most information science - people who leave reviews are either really, really disappointed or really, really satisfied

There is usually no middle. Grant it, I studied information science a little less than 20 years ago, but I don’t see that tid bit of info as having changed.

the women who use this will 100% post memes about how it's fine to be 37 and unmarried without kids while silently crying to themselves wondering what went wrong
