With the deduction on state and local taxes capped at $10,000 under the Trump tax cuts, the top-earning Californians wouldn't be able to deduct the new taxes from their federal returns.
The spin, everyone look at the spin. Trying to pin it on Trump that they can't make huge deductions because the Orange man is bad.
From the article:

It would add a 1% surcharge to gross income of more than $1 million, 3% on income over $2 million and 3.5% on income above $5 million.
So California's tax rates are already stupid and they are trying to bleed them all before they dump town.

Dumbasses will move to Texas and vote for the same left leaning twits who caused them to move in the first place.

Does anybody have a demo breakdown of California? If the rich population is over 55 they're just committing suicide.

As left as Tech is, they should all be thrilled to kick in a little more

Why do you think those evil motherfrickers have picked Texas to move to from California?

Ahh the same tired talking point over and over.
Texas liberals are born in Texas for the most part. No one is moving here and changing it. A lot of California transplants are more conservative leaning anyways.

California isn't a shithole. California is beautiful.
It's the people that live there that are shite.

This is correct. My parents would be categorized as Cali libs and they've left the state twice for tax and regulatory reasons and lol at either of them voting for any of the madness.

This.
The Libs are moving to AZ and NV cause that's what they can afford

Unless people start voting for what is best for them and the country, we are headed down a path to total destruction.
I won't be alive to see if fall, but it's coming, and sooner rather than later if things don't change soon.

Beaches are all open and all restaurants moved to outdoor dining so you will be good
We thought it was gonna go back to full lock cause of LA but thankfully hasnt

Yeah I noticed outdoor dining when I made a reservation for born and raised. Outside in SD is a dream anyways so I don’t care.
How are bars/breweries?

From my experience last weekend, breweries that serve food are open for outdoor seating. Those that don't are open for to go only.

I was gonna tell you to go to Little Italy
They closed off the main street Fri-Sun at night so it's super fun being able to walk around anywhere
That place is the best
Then head down to King and Queen Cantina or Kettner exchange

I think good cause they are all outside. Weather will be great so no issues on that

Yeah it was either beach or there. I have 2 places booked so have to make a decision by the 8th.
Thanks for the help. Packer too.

Damn that is one progressive tax schedule.
Posted on 7/31/20 at 10:24 am to ihometiger
What’s so comical about this is that the state is about to lose quite a few people and businesses.
People that make that kind of money are not gonna put up with that
