The problem is they want right sided economic policies and left sided social policies. Then they vote with their feelings and vote for the lefty

And then they’ll vote in Texas the same way they voted in California and end up deciding they need to move away from Texas too.

California needs to be careful. Soon silicon valley will just be a valley and other states will create incentives to move operations.

If the tech valley moves, so will those high paying tech jobs, which don't make much of the taxes but some, and you will have the loss of income for stores, empty houses, etc. It will just be a land slide if it moves.

This assumes they move the whole office out of state.

My guess is that a lot of tech jobs will become telecommuting jobs, at which point Silicon Valley, Seattle, Austin, etc, all disperse around the country.

They will still need a corporate HQ but not needing massive amounts of workers on-site makes it a lot more mobile than right now.

And people wonder why Tom Hanks moved to Greece and Tom Cruise is moving to space.

Unfortunately, this will cause the locusts to disperse to other states where they will inevitably do the same shite that led to their departure from CA.

They’ll all move to Texas but won’t change the way they vote so in 10 years they’ll get hit with the same tax in Texas.

That unfortunately may be the political left’s motive here. California will still be blue and if they push enough to Texas, our friends to the west will turn blue eventually. The left gets Texas and patriots can call it a day and go home because it would forever be over then.

Then where do we move to if we enjoyed the lack of state income tax and warm weather?

I’m not so sure that all billionaires and their high paid employees will vote socialist. Probably 50-50 Republican-socialist split, so Texas status quo might not be as effected as y’all think.

The tax would only effect the top 0.5% of California taxpayers. But that small group of super-earners — many of them in tech — pay 40% of the state's tax revenues, according to California's Franchise Tax Board.

Not for long.

Rogan is running for the Hill Country. He won’t be alone.
