Look, only the low single digit millionaires pay that. I don’t even pay the top tax rates. My top tax rate is capped at the 29% (?) alternative minimum tax rate (AMT) because I have a ton of built up “tax credits” that are mostly bullshite. Whenever the top rate goes above 30%, or so, loopholes are put in place to prevent capital flight. It’s a wise thing to do, too, because if they made me pay the full tax rate I would leave the country and take my business with me.

Illinois is considering a 90% hike on people earning $250,000 or more - making it almost the same rate as $1,000,000+.
We are thinking of moving to Texas, Indiana, or Tennessee.

You are right that Texas will be demo soon, but you’re wrong in your implication that it is largely due to Californians relocating. The cause is that illegal immigration eventually produces citizens who vote 2 to 1 for left wing BS.

I promise that California will be the first of many to massively hike taxes.
A big reason states are padding Covid numbers is because they are trying to get federal reimbursement for both fighting the virus and plugging budget holes. Pension funds were barely getting funded before the downturn that put pressure on healthcare spending, reduced tax revenue, and increased unemployment insurance.
A lot of states and cities will be begging for federal cash. It’s one of the things that the Democrats are pushing now with the Biden camp. And they’ll be sure most of it goes to blue states.
I think a federal bail out is almost inevitable.

I'm beginning to think this is the left's strategy. Drive people out of California to red states like Texas. Hope they will take their voting habits with them and convert the red states into blue ones.

They pay a 75% tax rate. They dont get to own guns. They can only have an electric car. They must use .5 gallon flushing toilets. They must run the house on solar.

Does OB suck? The one I found is a block off the beach. I haven’t been to SD in 10+ years.

I don't mean to keep interjecting, but OB is nice, but it isn't as nice as PB. PB has more food/drink options, better parking, and a better beach. OB is nice, but everything OB has, PB has better.
I'd wait for SDVtiger to give his opinion though, as he seems to have a better knowledge of SD than I do.
