Careful with that kind of talk.

Buddy tried to do the same thing by attempting to fill a vacant democratic Seat with a Republican.

When callers brought this up with Wicker, she told them that she was doing what she thought was the right thing to do.

She's one of the few on the council that will cross party lines on occasion.

From what I understand, Buddy proposed a Republican candidate to fill C. Denise Marcele’s spot. He was shot down and that was it. He didn’t try to convince other council members to abstain from voting. Also, the spot wasn’t vacant because the council member died. It’s apples and oranges as far as I’m concerned. Plus, this situation has Gary Chambers sticky fingerprints all over it.

He nominated someone as a courtesy, then voted for Lamont Cole.

Also no one had just died.

It would piss off a lot of people. We live in Buddy's district and it skews heavily for Republicans. I think he won with almost 70% of the vote last time.

Careful with this type of short sided ignorant rebuttal.

You are comparing apples and oranges.

Buddy appointed a Republican as a dummy when Marcel got a promotion, then voted for Cole.

You and fat Gravy are advocating for actually putting a Democrat in the seat left behind by someone who was murdered less than a month ago, instead of his widow

Tara Wicker. is a clear example of those who have lost their way. Democrats should be ashamed she’s in the party and challenging her to join her colleagues in HER PARTY. She is supporting tradition over the law.

Just so we're clear here, he's basically saying that she's a race traitor because she won't support the tactic to force the governor to appoint a far left wing person to represent a conservative district to replace a recently deceased MC member in order to stop the SG movement.

A lot of scumbags pretend to be real Christians.

The one you are talking about will go away if we ignore him. The only thing he craves more than an all you can eat buffet is attention.

I just don't understand how you can act like he does, then turn around, don a collar and act as a messenger of God.

I have been very impressed with her. She is gaining a lot of support through this. Her quote on the radio today in BR about the constant race baiting and Gary's claims of doing what is best for the black community. "Decisions should not based on whether it's better for black or white, but whether it is wrong or right."

I can 100% tell you if she runs against Broomestick, she has my vote in a runoff.

Agree with your comments, with one minor correction. “Gravy” is the lowest common denominator.

Noticed she sided with tara? She realized she barely beat out a terrible candidate in White last election, saw the good response Tara was getting and the negative response the other 4 got and distanced herself.

I'd hate to be mayor just to have to deal with Gravy every day.

Baton Rouge will become a much better place once the media stops giving Gary attention
