That would be hilarious. I would make every effort to attend council meetings.

It would be even more ironic if that fat frick actually lived in an overly dominate republican/white district that is well off.

He thinks the council will appoint him to fill the vacancy? Is he insane? Let’s put an obviously racist black democrat in the seat previously held by a white republican. If that were somehow to happen, BR would be screwed. He would make every single item on the council agenda into a race issue.

Chauna is now inviting all those who oppose her to come to the meeting and take the microphone to voice their views there. It's plain to see that she's trying to fill up the allotted time with comments in a weak attempt to run the clock out on the vote. She's fricked either way it goes.

Over Vitter? You damn right I voted JBE and unless Garrett Graves runs against JBE, I am voting JBE again.

She wants to be Mayor. Heard she is going to run against SWB next go around.
This is one of her first steps in that direction.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! There is/was no reason I would ever vote for that satan. Knowing Trump would win Louisiana, I voted Gary Johnson.

What’s your favorite flavor of soy milk?

None, I am my own man and vote independent for whoever I want. I don't sheepishly follow one party or the other.

Smh.
The honor code commercial really stuck, huh?

No I’ve actually met the man and held conversations with him on a number of different occasions...in today’s political climate, he is about as moderate as a democrat comes

I’m right there with you. It’s hard for blind partisan idiots to question a party vote, but Vitter was an abomination. I’m a Republican who voted for JBE and I’ll do it again in a heartbeat. Unless the LAGOP can find a rockstar, Edwards is gonna be a two termer whether y’all like it or not.

Although I’m independent, I definitely lean more right. About the only people I would of voted Vitter over if I had absolutely no other choice would be Hitlery, Hitler, Literally Hitler and David Duke.

Good to see people still #resisting. It’s still her turn!!

So you'd take Edwards over any Republican unless it's a "rock star"?
Why?
You like the taxes?
You like the lack of a plan to get the state moving?
You like special interests like the nursing home people, the trial lawyers and the movie crowd getting theirs first?
So you hate Vitter. Fine, but he's not running.
La. is in recession. Our economy is last of the fifty states. The population is declining and you want the status quo????
Again, why????

It was pretty obvious that whomever won election in 2015 was going to have a steep hill to climb. Jindal left Louisiana in abysmal shape for his successor. Sometimes GOP tactics will not work to fix problems, especially when they were used to make the mess LA is currently in. I don't beat the democrat drum often but it was going to take some kind of different thinking to get out of the hole.
Currently JBE has a 55% approval rating. Could Steve Scalise or John Kennedy right the ship next up? Possibly so. Let's see what happens.
Posted on 7/17/18 at 9:58 am to Giantkiller
I'm not some huge JBE supporter by any means, but Jindal really hurt Louisiana. He was a horrible governor and we aren't going to recover for years.
We just need a candidate that cuts spending, keeps taxes where they are, adds FULL transparency into where those tax dollars go, and then re-allocates those dollars appropriately into economic drivers, infrastructure, and education.
