Toyota and Lexus is all I will buy. Of course I get them used under 100K miles and drive them for another 200K.

At one point last year, Jeep had a 500+ day supply of Grand Cherokees on lots. That's seems like some kind of warning sign.

I’m buying one for my son next year when he gets his license. They seem reliable for the most part and they’re cheap.

Well if you want your car to spontaneously crush a loved one, I recommend a Jeep. Personally, I’ll never forgive Jeep for killing Anton Yelchin.

It’s a jeep and they have their reputation for a reason.

Just the opposite for us. 2014 GC Overland with only 79,000 miles, we baby it.

I would have said the same thing at your mile mark. And then had to replace the a rocker arm and a lifter. 20K miles later, same thing except the other side. Jeep wouldn’t warranty anything.

When you hear the ticking noise, you are done. Heard it twice and it was a couple thousand dollars both times. Local mechanics wanted no part of changing that. That pentastar v6 was a nightmare engine for everyone. My dad has a wrangler with the same engine. Same failure.

Sold it at 115K miles.

frick Jeep. They had a bad engine, knew it and did nothing about it

Bought my wife a new limited in march 2022. Sold it in 9 months. Hated it. Doors felt hollow. Air conditioning is pathetic (look at size of vents in front). Just overall cheap feeling. Bought a 2023 aviator and love it.

Wife has a 21 limited L. Beautiful vehicle, handles great, rides smooth. But the amount of recalls and computer issues I will never buy another one. Having said that Jeep Customer service is really helpful in the couple times I’ve had to use them.

Before you celebrate with a new 4Runner, you might want to check out Toyota's disastrous new engine rollout. Blown engines, no parts to fix, hundreds of thousands of trucks and SUVs affected.

Note the 2024 4Runners still have the NA 4L V6 not the V35A 3.4l turbo with the manufacturing issues.

Had a Cherokee, 4 WD, Transmission crapped out at 100k miles, engine crapped out at 130k miles. Never again.

Get rid of it before the warranty ends. Loved mine but it was in the shop often. When we traded it at 7 years my husband said, “I know you love the car but take a good, long look at it because we will never own another Chrysler product.”

Jeep wrangers re the absolute worst vehicles in the world, that's all I got.

With any Jeep or American brand, I'd plan to trade it before the warranty is out.

Drove a jeep. Didn’t last past 130k miles. Don’t buy.

Jeep's reliability record is generally awful.

I think there have been a few good models occasionally. My ex-father-in-law had a mid-70s Cherokee Chief and it was solid but that was before Chrysler took over AMC/Jeep in the 80s.

I have a 2021 Grand Cherokee L Overland. It's loaded with 42000 miles and I've had no problems at all.

I also pull it behind my motorhome and it does well there too.

No. Read any Jeep forum and they'll tell you.

Been wanting to buy a used one as a second vehicle but the reliability scares me.
