Being smart enough to do that is how you get your car stalled and swept away. It's not like you ever say to yourself "There's no way I can make it through that, but frick it YOLO!".

Just giving you shite because this gets people in trouble, it's not like I don't appreciate the on the ground reports.

I bet that was true. It was draining as fast as it could, but just not a match for how much was falling.

Lol trust me the ongoing reports was because we turned around 6 times to finally get home. A 5 minute drive lasted over an hour.

Looks like Jones Creek is going to crest about 2.5 feet below 2016

Dunno what it's called. St Alban's is one of the streets.

Yeah that’s a blessing. Rivers are low so it’s got plenty of places to go.

Looking at the radar, I think Thibodaux and eventually Houma start having similar stories of flooding in the next couple of hours. The rainfall in that band looks prolific.

The way WAFB was talking it seemed they expected this to start falling apart, but it still looks pretty damn strong.

It's losing the northern edge. The heaviest stuff is off the coast, and it's still very heavy down along highway 90.

I appreciate all the ground reports. Did not go to work tonight and it sounds like it’s still dangerous to drive.

Looking at the Amite River levels it is racing down there. Port Vincent has risen over 1' in a couple hours.

@ Denham it has risen close to a foot an hour over the last 6-7 hours.

In the back of IEJT. Water in the house; about 1/4 of an inch. Finally started receding about 30/40 minutes ago. Roads still flooded.

Anyone near the old JT school area? How are things that direction?

I’ve been in cedarcrest southmoor for nearly 40 years. Never had water in my front yard like we had tonight.
