You think the waters will have receded and roads will be passable around 3:30?

Trying to see what today is gonna look like as far as work and kids getting to school and all that

The intersection is only on one side. Going north to the interstate. Going west on highland right there isn't. 80 foot tree across the road. Completely impassable

Heads up to all. Perkins is littered with abandoned cars with no lights that are either broken down in the middle of the road, or they are piled up due to wrecks. If you are in a safe spot now just wait to travel tomorrow.

Depends. Burbank shockingly is drivable. We turned around on highland and went back to the Starring road to get back to burbank. The neighborhood off to the right had water up to car windows.

Lee drive was underwater by the church. Essen before highland was impassable. Bluebonnet the same. The water has actually receded some because you basically dodge and weave broken down cars before you get to the actual water now.

The water at siegen and highland is so deep and strong flowing east that I just told LL to floor it in the middle of it because I was worried the car couldn't hold on the road if we went slow

This should make for an interesting morning. The early sleepers aren’t going to know what happened when they wake up. They are going to think it’s a nightmare.

Starting from Calandros on Perkins and Siegen all the way to the Gatti’s Pizza and Baton Rouge Clinic on Essen. I easily counted 15 cars either abandoned or just sitting in the road that could easily have caused more wrecks

College until seigen. Cars are just abandoned the entire stretch. Water must have come up so quick people had nowhere to go

This is why people tell you not to drive into flooded roads, especially at night.

Pretty sure I’m gonna put the kibosh on anyone leaving before dawn anyway, no clue what hazards are in the way and I’m not gonna risk it

Crazy to hear all this. It came through Houston right as I was leaving work, I'm assuming it's the same system. We had some flooding but nothing like what y'all are dealing with, from what I saw.

It looked like it was going to be nasty for a good while before it actually started raining and I've been getting flash flood warnings all day.

It looked e like a steady stream coming in off the gulf, at least that's what the news said earlier.

We stopped and I surveyed the road before going. We crossed the neutral ground and went oncoming traffic lane to get to the intersection. The water was flowing so fast over the intersection that it actually created a shallow area that you could drive through

The amount of water dropped in a few hours has to be close to a record

Looking at the Amite River levels it is racing down there. Port Vincent has risen over 1' in a couple hours.

The area around TJs on Acadian looks like a lake, all the way to rise by Catholic Life center. Cant exit at Acadian.. College flooded at light by Panda Express. Cars stalled everywhere.

ETA Acadian, sorry. You can get off at Perkins.
