This is all in my neck of the woods and ole boy was in the wrong area to begin with. Black folks "froging" or riding 4 wheelers in Lanse Meg at night is a baaaad idea all around. If the cop wouldn't have shot him someone else prob would have. It's a small, all white area that is one short step above horse and buggy. Terrible incident but it seems like a justified shooting from the reports

If you have ever read any of Daniel Banguell's published work and compared it to that of The Rouge Collection, you would think that the Rouge Collection would win the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting hands down.

The deputy involved in the shooting has apparently been released from the hospital and has been placed on administrative leave, per KATC.com

I work with an older black lady who told me about this story and asked me if I had heard about it. I told her I did not. She assumed the guy that was shot by police was white cuz black folk don't go frogging. Her words. I was confused because I thought black folks went frogging to I didn't realize it was just a white folk thing.

Have to see more evidence. Have to see if he was shot in the back before I defend anyone. If he was shot in the back then there's no way it's justified. I also need to see photos of cops injuries. Guy was a pretty big guy and if he attacked me I would have had reasonable fear for my life also.

The Deputy asked Guillory and Brown for legal identification, which neither possessed. During this initial interaction, Guillory struck the Deputy in the head, knocking him to the ground, dazing him with a possible loss of consciousness. The Deputy was able to rise to his feet, draw his firearm and gave verbal commands for Guillory to lie on the ground. Guillory laid down on his stomach and the Deputy attempted to handcuff Guillory. During handcuffing, a struggle ensued. Brown approached the Deputy from behind and began to choke and bite him. During the struggle with Guillory and Brown, the Deputy shot Guillory with his duty weapon. The Deputy returned to his unit and called for assistance.
