Maybe one of the recent graduates that did not even take the law can run for office. AOC of the Louisiana judiciary - where are you? Stop partying from your bar admission today and announce your candidacy.

Must have five years of practice before one can qualify.

wait until we get judges who never had to take the bar exam

RBG is exhibit A of why mandatory age restrictions are needed for the judiciary.

I know an attorney who filled an exception of prescription and Clark not only ruled against her but ruled on the merits of the case against her.
So what you are saying is that Clark is an over achiever? She goes above and beyond and even does other judges’ jobs???

Wait. Did these two judges ask the supreme court to throw out and ignore a properly amended part of the Constitution? By definition nothing in a Constitution can be unconstitutional.
This is the trash that sits in judgment of the rest of us.

It isn't on the Supreme Court's press release site yet. The Advocate is rarely this far ahead of the public release.

Rumor has it there was a special box just for writs from her court.

Age is relevant when it does effect one's work habits. More than a few court insiders claim JC works by far less actual hours than any other sitting District Judge. Picture an RBG Lite. And remember this is a District Judge who used a convict in one of her re-election ads. Till she was told to cease & desist the ad. This is a big win for potential judicial reform in B.R.

A state constitution can violate the federal constitution.

I think they posted the story at like midnight last night. Was surprised it didn’t make the OT before I posted today.

Pretty sure that was Judge Trudy White, not Judge Clark.

She is unopposed as of now. And she has had opponents in the past but apparently Jomo Jenkins resonates with her constituency. To be fair, I'm not sure if Jomo is a convicted felon or not.

Thank goodness.
There is no reason someone should stay on the bench until they are 80.
Gotta let turn over occur.
Go home and enjoy time with your grand kids

Mea culpa. It was Judge White.

What does it matter? You're just replacing one incompetent robe with another. What kind of lawyer takes a huge pay-cut to be a judge?
