The people willing to run for these positions (and most elected offices for that matter) usually have some fairly undesirable traits.

It was JBE then a state representative who proposed the amendment to get rid of the mandatory retirement age limit.

Janice Clark hasn't been competent to serve in that capacity for some time now (if she ever was in the first place), I can't imagine it's getting better with age.

If white people were allowed to call black people "racist", she would be at the top of my list.

And she is an incompetent bitch.

So if Louisiana passes a constitutional amendment allowing unreasonable searches and seizures or outlawing ownership of all guns it would pass scrutiny by Federal Courts? Give me an example of your claim please.

You misunderstood me. I was replying to a post which said that anything in a state constitution is per se constitutional. I was contradicting that statement.

I wonder if Dele and Jordan jump out if she is allowed to stay in. God help them and their clients if they don't.

Clark told The Advocate Friday that she qualified for reelection to allow her time to get a rehearing from the state’s highest court. She and her lead counsel, Ernest Johnson of Baton Rouge, are busy putting together an application for a rehearing, which she said she plans to file soon.

quote:

Clark said there are things that she thinks the high court did not consider sufficiently in its decision and she would like the chance to persuade the court to “amplify” her concerns in a fresh ruling.

“I have spent my entire life fighting for civil rights,” Clark said. “Equal protection means a lot in my life.”

quote:

Clark said she has not ruled out a future legal challenge in federal court, saying that’s always been a “possibility,” but that she respects the state Supreme Court’s authority when it comes to interpreting state law.

Actually, they are.

I show up to qualify for Mayor-President and my residence address is in Lafayette, guess what, I dont meet the qualifications for the office and he should not process my paperwork.

She does not meet the qualifications as her date of birth puts her age beyond what is allowed under state law.

Translation: When I get slapped back again by the Louisiana Supreme Court...then I will go to federal court.

Does Ardoin accept it or does the Clerk for each parish? I think you go to the clerk to qualify for these particular races.

Then Welborn is the retard.

Although, if that was the case, I am sure some dumbass flunky is doing it and not even paying attention.

If I was in that position I probably let her qualify myself. Her opponents can go to court and get her disqualified.
