Supporters, critics still awaiting St. George signature results

That's laughable. You can't trust anything this sociopath says. She told people on camera that St. George, if passed, could affect their ability to get flood relief from the 2016 flood.

“We've already done a preliminary check, so this is the secondary check,” said M.E. Cormier, the Executive Director of ‘Better Together.’ “We think the second look is really important to the process.”
Cormier is currently independently vetting the signatures. She did the same thing when the petition was first brought up in 2015. That time, the petition was shy of just 71 signatures.
“I think it’s going to be as close as it was last time,” said Cormier.
Cormier says history could repeat itself.
“We're finding a lot of invalid signatures for various reasons. They weren't eligible to sign, they didn't live in the area and several duplicate signatures,” she said.

"We had a traumatic flood event that deeply affected tens of thousands of people in this parish and the surrounding areas only eighteen months ago we're still waiting on dollars from the federal government to repair the city and the parish and our surrounding areas and this [St. George] may jeopardize that."

I believe it because I signed on two separate occasions, and do not live within the zone. Maybe she is talking about me.

Sure you did. Trust me when I say if you did, your name never was turned in...on either signature.

You mad that St George cut all the crappy apartment complexes out of the city limits the second time around?

I still will never quite understand, besides money, why they are fighting so hard to keep an unincorporated part of the parish from gaining more structure in becoming its own city.
Fire department: St. George not BRFD
Police: Sheriff and State Troopers not BRPD
When you get on the interstate within the proposed area going west there are signs to go to Baton Rouge.
The only thing we have in common with Baton Rouge is a mailing address.

That fat broad is the typical SJW/White Guilter you see behind these so called "together" groups. LOL
They all look the same, no matter the city or state. Ok, maybe their hair color is different.

I can trust that if she's talking to the media, this thing is going to fall short again.
Now, 100 percent believe it will fall short because the fix is in.

Why is the executive director of "Better Together" in charge of vetting the signatures?

She had her wealthy benefactors pay to get copies of the petition and she has locked herself inside her ugly arse blue house trying to find signatures she believes are invalid.
It's a futile effort on her part. They called a public town hall and had 24 people show up (6 of which were there to help set up). They had the same 270 days that St. George had to convince people not to sign, and St. George turned in almost 1500 signatures more than was needed. They had a well publicized "Withdraw Day" to get people to take their names from the petition, and they got 23 removals submitted - 6 signed the petition then removed their names, 2 are not in St. George, and 15 never signed the petition to begin with.
Better Together/One Baton Rouge is done,

She’s just trying to slow down the process, so it loses momentum
