Mayor President Sharon announced Summer of Hope 2.0 on Friday

LINK

Since then we've had 2 people shot & killed and 3 others injured.

I don't know how many people were murdered during last year's Summer of Hopelessness but I expect this year to surpass it.

Were the St George residents previously counted in the Baton Rouge per capita murder stats? If so, Baton Rouge is about to have a stranglehold on #1.

If they started locking away every person with a gun charge or executing repeat felons violent crime would be near zero within a decade.

Good point re: St George per capita.

Once those people are removed from the populous, the EBR murder stats will rival several war torn areas in the Middle East.

Welp, I guess the Spring of Prayer didn’t work

from March 25th

quote:

want to … (ask) you to pray for this city and parish,” East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome said during Monday’s news conference. “We’re putting the work next to our faith.

Despite the numbers, I believe we can have divine intervention to assist our officers and move on the hearts of the men and women to stop this senseless crime and lawlessness.
I believe our prayer can bring crime to an end and resurrect safety in our community.”

Like I always said, you can’t get “barren moaners” without Sharon Broome.

But St George hasn’t been part of the city of Baton Rouge, no?

And SG will still be included in EBRP, yes?

There is no word on if the two shootings are related at this time.

Oh….I bet I know 1 way they’re related…

That’s a shame, but you are right. It would not take much effort to completely turn around the lives of about 30 million Americans who live in shithole inner cities.

It’s amazing how in 2024 people still don’t understand how this works and really believe 100,000 rich white people seceded from the city of Baton Rouge. I’m dumbfounded at the commentary I’ve seen, all fueled by ignorant people with a bunch of followers.

Summer of Hope

The launch event hosted by the mayor was full of hope…
quote:

BRPD said two people were arrested at the event at Liberty Lagoon, 111 Lobdell Ave., which was hosted by Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome's office. The event kicked off the Summer of Hope series, which focus on community-led crime and violence prevention activities. The event started at 7:30 p.m. and was set to go on for three hours but was shut down after an hour due to fights.

How about a Summer of Father’s being in the life and raising kids into respectful, hardworking, productive people that don’t rely on the government.

That’s not “a bunch” of followers that Gravy has.
