I’m sure this has nothing to do with justifying completely bogus ballots being counted

Yes, some random blogger for The Hill is the guy that's going to make it all happen.

I don't see anyone, even in the "blue" area I live in, suggesting we come even close to going back to pandemic 2020 measures. I haven't even seen a mask mandate outside of my grandmother's oncology appointment.

No it's not. Winter is called cold and flu season for a reason.

No it is still a cold. You can get colds anytime of the year.

Comparing The Bee to The Hill…

A classic Corinthians420 take

OP compared it by posting a hill article then putting "not the Bee" at the end of his post.

I wouldn't trust either site to provide me real news, and It appears rightly so as this is an opinion piece

My daughter has it and I know of a few other highschool kids that got it. This version is even less than a cold. Symptoms are sore throat and lethargy.

The variant going around right now is like a bad cold. I've known several people that have had it. Doctor told my buddy that went in that they had seen probably 30 case that day.

And just today:
quote:

Postmaster general is confident about ability to process mail-in ballots

Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has a message for America: The U.S. Postal Service is ready for a flood of election mail and is better positioned to do so than it was four years ago.

The Postal Service has been undergoing rapid changes, including the opening of large hubs, but some of those changes are being paused before the election to ensure they don't interfere with performance, DeJoy said. And it will be all hands on deck to ensure the millions of mail-in ballots are delivered swiftly to their destinations.

“We're going to be in great shape for the election. I'm pretty confident about everything that were doing,” DeJoy told The Associated Press ahead of an official rundown Thursday of election mail practices. “The American people should be confident.”

These surges will occur at least 2-3 times per year, every year.

People must realize what virologists, immunologists, and infectious disease (ID) specialists have known about respiratory viruses before this pandemic.

That is, our immune system produces antibodies against respiratory viruses during an acute infection, but these antibodies quickly dissipate within 2-3 months.

Given the numerous respiratory viruses in circulation—such as influenza, RSV, rhinoviruses, adenoviruses, parainfluenza viruses, human metapneumovirus, and coronaviruses including COVID-19—each of these viruses has multiple subtypes.

Considering the repeated exposure to these viruses, if antibodies produced against each virus remained in our bloodstream, our blood would become so packed with antibodies that it would be as thick as motor oil.

Therefore, our immune system quickly stops antibody production soon after the viral infection resolves. As a result, we don't have long-lasting immunity to a cold, the flu, or COVID-19.

Each COVID surge typically occurs 3-4 months after the previous wave, once those antibodies have faded away.

We saw this in 2021-'22:

Jan and Feb: Beta wave
July, Aug, Sept: Delta wave
Dec, Jan, Feb '22: Omicron wave

So, all the virologists, immunologists, infectious disease specialists, and epidemiologists knew that COVID-19 could not be stopped with vaccines, lockdowns, masks, or social distancing.

There is no, and never will be, 'herd immunity' to respiratory viruses.

We gave vaccine manufacturers billions of dollars for a vaccine that they knew would not work!

This current COVID wave will likely subside in October, and then the next COVID wave will probably hit us around Christmas or after New Year's.
