Any idea as to why they are media favorites and always in our faces? Taurasi I could understand to an extent, but Bird seems annoying.

Honestly, they are the only (or a few of) names people are familiar with associated with the WNBA. The WNBA has been sort of its own club, but those bitches about to get a kick of reality starting with this years draft class.
They have girls coming in who are more known than anyone in the league now and at least for the next few years it will be the same thing.
Taurasi said some shite about the girls who will be coming in about how they better not expect it to be as easy as the college level (which I am sure everyone moving up the next level expects).
But these girls are coming in already having deals they never had the opportunity to get so because they don't like seeing that in their mind they are going to "humble" them.
They have girls coming in who are more known than anyone in the league now and at least for the next few years it will be the same thing.
