Wouldn't this actually make more sense since coaches sometimes get nailed on the sidelines?

Other stupid traditions in baseball: jumping over the baseline and the seventh inning stretch.

I do the seventh-inning stretch at football games. At the end of the 3rd Qtr I stand up during the commercial break and wait for the 4th Qtr to start.

Anyone heard of the “Syracuse Stand & Clap” in men’s basketball? Where the entire fan base stands and claps until Syracuse makes their first basket...?

it’s gone on for nearly 5min+ before

I love that teams have their traditions. It’s awesome. Some are very wired, but I respect them. I loved that I got to see Ohio State dot the I in 07. That was cool. Would love to see Chief Osceola declare war.

Also, Wtf is this shite in baseball? Why not just hold up the pointer finger and middle finger like a normal person?

Imagine you are in right field and 200’ away from your coach. He holds up two fingers. Which is easier to see? Two fingers next to each other or two fingers spread apart?

Yea, imagine being in Yankee Stadium in July & Aug. and wearing a suit & tie. And picture this : Manager Earl Weaver going nose to nose with an ump, wearing said suit & tie. "Seventh inning stretch"? Ever sat through a 9 inning baseball game? By the 7th inning everyone needs a good stretch. And FWIW, ESPN's Mike Greenberg, Super Nerd, agrees with you. Birds of a feather kinda thing mabe.

Just keep up with the fricking outs then? Lol
Maybe if the game wasn’t so boring, players would pay attention to it.

You clearly haven’t played baseball before. You asked a question and I answered it.

Are you suggesting that you are right and over 100 years of professional baseball is wrong?

Basketball coaches in poorly fitting suits has always confused me - they should just dress like football coaches

Maybe football coaches should dress more like basketball coaches. Howard Schnellenberger did. Always looked like he was in a wedding party... frickin' flower in his lapel and everything.

Stupid for sure. I also hate caddies in pro golf. You wanna be a pro athlete? Carry your own damn bag, choose your own clubs, and rely on your own course knowledge.

A lot of players look funny in baseball uniforms. They dont even look comfortable. The thinner guys have tight pants and an overly big shirt.

And enough alcohol in his system like he was at a wedding reception.

It only looks stupid on fat coaches. It looks weird when the travel ball coaches are wearing visors and cargo shorts with a jersey.
