imagine the football coach in pads on the sideline
My guess is that D-D Breaux won’t be coaching in the tights.

Without a doubt.
The only people that defend it are nerdy baseball purists who think any change is bad.

If Coach O was in full pads on the sideline I'd imagine he would find a way to sneak on the field at some point

I miss the days of coaches in suits or shirt & tie under sweaters.

You ever coach or play baseball? 2 fingers together night look like one to some players, so the coach shows index and pinkie to avoid confusion.

Basecoaches have to wear uniforms too. How distracting would it be if they could wear neon pink or neon orange or any other bright color? It’s to identify the person on the field. Also, the game was built with class which is why you have some unwritten rules they almost everybody knows.
I’m not the expert here but when a guy hits a walk off home run and everybody from his team is on the field, even in fair territory, and they touch the guy before he touches home, that could be against the rules of the game. Do you think any umpire in the world is going to call interference?
Coaches had to dress up or wear a uniform in the early days. The uniform was more comfortable and you had player/coaches.
