You baws better set aside 10hrs per week for your aerobics
It's mostly click bait though:

560-610 minutes of exercise a week needed for substantial heart benefits
Adults should aim to do between 560 and 610 minutes a week of moderate to vigorous physical activity to achieve a substantial reduction in the risk of heart attacks and stroke, suggest the findings of an observational study published online in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.
This is between 3-4 times higher than the current public health recommendation that adults do at least 150 minutes a week of moderate to vigorous physical exercise such as brisk walking, running or cycling.
People who are less fit need to do slightly more exercise than those who are very fit to get the same cardiovascular benefits, the study suggests.

Those adults who met the 150 minute a week guideline on exercise experienced a modest 8-9% reduction in cardiovascular risk, the study found. This was consistent across all levels of fitness.
In order to achieve substantial protection, classed as a greater than 30% risk reduction, between 560 and 610 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise a week was needed. However, this level of exercise was only achieved by 12% of people in the study.

Oh, well. My heart will go on (for as long as it can).

My mother died at 85 after a prolonged illness. My dad is 90 and in poor health. From my perspective, an extended longevity is not a desirable outcome.

If you can... swimming 30 mins at least 3 times a week. As in you can do some laps, but just move around in water.. because its resistant. If you got in 560-610 mins of shite exercise its not as effective as less minutes of quality exercise.

610 is close to five miles per day, that's more than most folks are willing to do.

I'd be willing. My back won't be though. Also my foot, considering it loves a good stress fracture.

Seems like this guy will only gain more followers with recommendations like these.

That's more than like 90% are willing to do, including me, and also more than what most people's bodies would allow.

So 60 minutes per day, 10 days per week. I'm in.

There are other studies that show cortisol spikes if you overdo, particularly, cardio.
I always take this as cardio only. Exercise. Moderate to vigorous. Activity(walking and such) is lagniappe. Strength is lagniappe.
150 is my cardio target for the week.

I question this finding. Are you telling me the person who is doing a minimum of 150 minutes of moderate exercise and is eating right, have an active social life; has almost the exact same results as the person that barely hits the 150 mark and eats like shite while doing as little as possible outside of those 150 minutes?

I do 60 minutes on the elliptical 4-5 days a week, so between 240 to 300 minutes. I’ll take whatever time that buys me.

But we’re talking about under two hours a day of 'brisk' walking, not BUD/S training. It's depressing that basic human movement now gets treated like some elite athletic demand.

I think most people would be shocked at how good they feel and how quickly they’d start to make progress on basically any fitness goal if they just walked more often

Coming from someone who runs every day, this is an absurd amount of exercise in a week for the average human. Hell, more than average human.
Just a stupid "study".
