Kind of crazy how super progressive parents who push all this rainbow non-binary victim point nonsense end up having some sort of alphabet kid to virtue signal with, huh?

No, it's not! It is bigots and white supremacy that is causing this! Not Progressive mental illnesses.

interesting you mention that, President Potato Head issued his 731st Executive Order today to make this situation, like all others, even worse. LINK

quote:

“Over 300 anti-LGBTQI+ laws have been introduced in state legislatures over the past year, and many of them specifically target transgender children and their parents by banning access to medical care and support at school,” the Biden administration fact sheet said.

“President Biden is addressing these harmful, hateful, and discriminatory attacks head-on – not only by speaking up for America’s families, but taking action to stand up to the bullies targeting LGBTQI+ people. ”

“To help support impacted families, President Biden is charging the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) with protecting LGBTQI+ children and families from attacks on their access to health care, and has instructed HHS to release new sample policies for states on how to expand access to comprehensive health care for LGBTQI+ patients,” the message continued

They were already at higher suicide risk before taking the puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones, as both conditions are just symptoms of their underlying mental illness.

The study looks at states that let minors visit doctors without parental consent… and leaps to cross sex hormones access increases suicide?

Almost as if that was the independent variable or something.

Wait, so you mean to tell me that screwing with kid’s hormones as well as their heads causes an increase in suicide?

How shocking. I mean, I for one am really shocked. My world is turned upside down. I’d have never guessed. Next thing you’ll tell me is that kids who have surgery to lop off their genitalia will have serious regrets when they realize that it’s no longer a passing fancy, but it’s forever.

While I 100% agree with this opinion and it makes obvious sense that allowing more access or encouragement only feeds fire into these kids mental issues.

The counter to this data alone is that, for one this data shows the suicide rate is already higher in those states (blue states?) and that there may be another correlation or that suicides in general have been increasing across the board recently, so that the relative rate is increased more drastically in state where suicide rates were already higher.

Idk if that makes sense or not, just a thought.

ETA: Furthermore, this data includes suicide rates among all kids Right? So it doesn’t show or prove any direct correlation between those seeking gender care and those who want to, but aren’t allowed.

Studies like this aren’t gonna do jack to convince anyone who doesn’t have an opposing opinion, gotta do better.

ETA2: And just as I expected, see the replies to the author’s twitter post:

the answer to this question is: pointless COVID-19 lockdowns and Zoom school for an age group that is statistically unaffected by COVID-19

No shite. Its a known fact that the younger someone goes through the transformation to be the other sex the more likely they are to commit suicide.

My theory is that there must be a lot of money in whatever people take to transition. That's how most things work right? Follow the money.

Is there a certain pharmaceutical company that produces whatever is needed to transition? If so, I wouldn't be surprised if they pour money into promoting transgenders. The number of people who has transitioned has skyrocketed over the past 6 or 7 years.

And this study will be dismissed and hidden by the "we love science" crowd.

I ignore sugar studies funded by coca cola.

Why would I not ignore a study from The Heritage Foundation, whose own website describes itself as "A research and educational institution whose mission is to build and promote conservative public policies..."?

They do a good job of totally ignoring suicides and mental health problems associated with body dismorphia, and start the study with alarmist, disingenuous language about" without parental consent." Alabama making these mess illegal for minors regardless of parental consent is not the same as trying to administer them without parental consent.

They also cite puberty blockers and cross sex hormones as" widely available", which makes it sound like they are not given to very few minors after intense examinations, consideration of options, and discussions with parents. So, the language used is bullshite that reveals a desired outcome.

So, cool. No one in here read past the first paragraph, but is happy to push this as actual "science"? Of course you are.

How very odd you don't apply this same criteria to sites you agree with.....

Keep your shite political takes to the movie board.
